Should be another cracking atmosphere and decent turn out at Murrayfield again.

I think it's a massive advantage to us having the 2nd leg in Scotland.

Think we will beat them 3-1 over both legs.

Yep. He's fitted in like he's been a part of the team for a much longer time, even moreso than Henderson imo.

Good movement, likes a pass and can score goals.

A cliche yes but if you're good enough, you're old enough and he should be treated like any other 1st team player in that respect.

Will he play as well during a run of competitive games? I hope so but we've not seen that yet.

Whereas we've seen enough of Pukki, Kayal, Boerrigter et al to see that, imo, they won't have enough to carve out a career here.

Delighted to be proved wrong on them all, but I just don't think I will be.

They'll get my backing of course 100% when they pull on the hoops. :shamrock:

Sorry - on topic, I think we'll beat Legia over two legs, will be agonisingly close though.

We should be beating them comfortably from what I've seen but like many I cant shake the nervousness.

Are the fans mad right wingers?

It should be an intriguing match if nothing else, this will be our first real test under Deila.

I'm not going to pretend that I know a lot about Legia Warsaw because I don't and the game last night against St. Pats is the only time I have seen them play recently so I don't know how good or bad they are in relation to us. I wouldn't imagine there would be a huge gap in quality between the SPFL and the Polish League, but I would imagine we'd be stronger than the Polish Champions but that remains to be seen.

Our new style of play seems to be attack, attack, attack but that's really just based on the games against KR Reykjavik so Deila might be a bit more sensible when coming up against better opposition. We're pushing our full backs right up and our centre backs are pretty much playing on the half way line, if we're going to do that then our pressing game has to be immaculate as it only takes one decent ball over the top of our defenders and we're in trouble (depending on who the oppositions striker is of course).

Tony Mowbray tried to implement a similar style of play and he failed spectacularly. It's also similar to the style of play we had in NL's first season although we played with Stokes and Hooper up top that season and it looks like we're going with the one striker under Deila, but the style of play looks to be similar. So, it is difficult to play this style of football while bringing the kind of success that is demanded at Celtic.

The good thing is, we are under no pressure domestically so Deila will probably get more time than most Celtic managers would if things don't go to plan immediately, which I think is a good thing because I really want this new style of play to work, so if it takes a season of poorish results for deila to get his players in and to get this style of play to work then I would take that.

Don't get me wrong, Deila will be under a lot of pressure if we don't qualify for the CL group stages, but I'd like to think he'd get a bit of time to try and make this new style of play to work. Things are kind of short term with Celtic, if results do go south then there will be a lot of unhappy Celtic fans.

True but are we willing to bet our European season on it? Im not a hater far from it infact I just would rather someone with a bit of experience of getting through these games in the last season or two. Who im meaning exactly I dont really know lol. If he is on the teamsheet then great im routing for him I just wouldnt personally pick him for this match I would rather blood him some more domestically first then introduce him in the groups if we get there.

Gotta fancy Celtic over the 2 legs, In a way its a good thing that we got a more difficult side. Celtic play better against better opponents and tend to slack against weaker sides in past.
So hopefully get the job done over the two legs. 1-1 Draw 4-1 home

We win this leg and Deila will have 100% backing from everyone. Huge game. I'll say 1-1

He's been one of our most threatening and best players at the start of the season and during pre-season, the most experienced European player in his position would be Derk Boerrigter, McGregor has earned the right to test himself at this level and that way he will get experience.

He isn't in the most critical of positions either, it's not like he is a young inexperienced goalkeeper or central defender, who are in a position to make very costly mistakes. He's absolutely flying just now, scoring a goal in his first game and setting up a good goal in the other.

There's also his style of play, he has shown he has a mature head on his shoulders so far, playing the simple pass when needed, taking men on when needed and staying calm in possession. I have no worries about him going into this game, I reckon he's one of the biggest positives going into it so far.

We sent him out all of last season to get experience of football, he had a hard slog in League 1, playing for an awful team, he was a star... it's up to us to make sure we build upon that experience and dropping a young player who's absolutely flying at the moment is not the way to do it.

He'll play and I suspect he'll play well.

I would say a scored draw or tight win 2-1. Would take a draw with one or two away goals, critical we score.

Don't think Legia are of the same standard as they used to be. If we want to be a champions league team then we should be beating teams like this en-route to it. Can see a score draw away and easier win at home.

police should be busy during the game against Legia, if the White SS Legion are coming over.

There was no trouble in dublin last night and that was with a decent police presence.
But they did get through and st.pats fans arent associated with far left views.
The likelihood is they come over a goal or 2 down pretty much out of the tie and intent on causing trouble.

Anyone know what would happen if celtic were to lose over the 2 legs? Would we be out of all competitions or do we still get a shot at Europa?

Not that I think we will lose, it will be a nervy away game but I think we will come away with something and we should best them at murrayfield.

Mcgregor should play, don't understand why that's up for debate, has barely put a foot wrong and I can't think of many other youngsters that have played so well in their first few games. If this was Ajax do you think their fans would want a youngster dropped against a team like Warsaw? We should have faith in our youth, not fear.

Flights too Warsaw are a nightmare. Celtic have also pulled out of doing a daytrip charter.
