Dave Meltzer reported on today’s installment of Wrestling Observer Radio that the original plan for John Cena heading into the Royal Rumble event was for Cena to face Alberto Del Rio for the WWE United States Championship.

Now that Cena is out of action with a shoulder injury, possibly up to six months, Kalisto is expected to work a program with Del Rio heading into the Royal Rumble event for the United States Championship. This is the reason Kalisto got the clean victory over Del Rio at Tuesday’s SmackDown tapings, because the company knew Cena was hurt.

 

I see there are some reports that WWE creative are already thinking of splitting The Dudleys up and moving Bubba Ray towards a Bully Ray type singles character that he played in TNA.

Royal rumble... thats when they will debut

 

Bryan has apparently been cleared for months now by his own doctor, I reckon the whole 'WWE doctors not clearing him' stuff is just a work in order for him to return fully healthy at the Rumble and begin his feud for WM.

I hope anyway. They are majorly lacking star power now more than ever, with the exception of Brock. Bryan's return would definitely boost the ratings.

 

The bullet club debuting at the royal rumble is fantasy stuff. In reality, unless Bryan does come back, it'll be a boring rumble with boring returns and it'll be either HHH/Roman/Lesnar who wins it. No doubt AJ, Nakamura, etc will be thrown into NXT.
