I think Brown would've reacted to him a couple of seasons ago, now he's old and experienced enough to know the best thing to do is just to take the * with his feet.

When else do u want him to take the *? When we r 5-0 down? You are entitled to your opinion but i think he's entitled to do what he did

We got better as the game went on after a stodgy first 20 minutes. Excellent 2nd half. Bit of a lack of width or ability to beat a man other than Brown but very good passing today. Opposition was poor though. All WGS's signings are looking great so far this year. No signs of any failures like JJ and Grav this year.

Boruc-cant rate him cause he was unemployed
    Wilson-another good performance-7
    Naylor-much better-6.5
    Mick-solid-7
    Gary-solid-7
    Hartley-another decent performance-6.5
Sno-Very poor but apparently he was ill-4
    Brown-masterclass-10
Donati-made a bid difference when he came on-7
Deeks-didnt look out of place but did nothing special-6
    JVOH-Really needs a couple of games off-5
    Skippy-great performance-9
Killen-always looks good when he comes on-6
Magic-ok but again his reactions look slow-5.5

BTW, when is the Old Firm game and the 1st CL game???

I'm happy he did it 5-0 up as opposed to doing it at 0-0. He's the main reason we were 5-0 up as well

Think you are over reacting Celtic Nut :97: Miranda kept nipping at Browns heals and getting wee fly kicks and pushes in. I for one am glad we have someone of Browns calibre.....nothing wrong with a little fight and arrogance :50:

We are truly blessed with McDonald and Brown who imo are Celtic Legends in the making.....bring the Rangers on :celt_2:

I agree. We have tried several times to replace petrov (Sno, Grav, Hartley) and failed. We finally have a player who links midfield and attack through the centre like Stan. And yes, I think he is better than Petrov, amazing considering Broon's age. All we now have to do is find a striker as good as Hendrick and a winger as good as Shaun in January. :50:

I think the first Champions League game is in 16 days, 18th of Sept, Old Firm game isn't till 20th of October though.

McDonald actually reminds me of Henrik - although I'm not comparing their ability before someone jumps on top of me for that comment - the way he can hold up the ball, go out wide, bring midfielders into play and score goals.

I noticed you were slagged for that ealier in the week. I agree he works his * of as did Henrik. The proof will be Old Firm games and CL games or if we don't look like scoring and all of a sudden he pops up out of no where with a goal. He's also still quite young so the futures bright.

As I said at the start I think Brown had an excellent game.It just * me off that he felt the need to take the * and wind up the opposition when they just wanted to get the match over with.I thought it was a bit unsporting and arrogant

Anyway I don't want to get into an arguement about it.We won 5-0 and Brown played well.Hail Hail!

I like Skippy and his general play is excellent but his misses v Spartak on Wednesday worried me a bit about his nerve in front of goal in top games. He only put away one of three or four good chances in that game which long term will not be good enough. We will know by Xmas if he can handle it at the top. Did you notice he was holding his hamstring at the end. Still, we have 2 weeks off now.

Definitly thought he should have scored 2/3 chances he had but his head never went down and scored a great goal today.

Yeh by Xmas we'll know how good he's going to be, and hopefully his hamstring isn't too bad, two weeks rest will be good for quite a few of our players.

Hadnt realised we play Caley just two days after internaitonals. Thats the problem with having good players: 6 or 7 of the top team will be playing internationals. Hope we dont get any injuries but I suppose they have to do their duty for their various countries. :50:
