Yeah, the 4-5 million player may have been a tad high but I'd still say we would struggle to attract players with the same level of ability.

I think the big man can still do a job here he is very inconsistent I think we all know that but when he produces that performance like the one he scored 2 at the bigotdome its really special and he's not one who gets fazed by the big occasion he can be very frustrating but also on the other hand he can produce magic why not take another punt on him ? he's free we just got 10M for forster and money on Watt surely we can afford to bring him back in he would of gave us a great option high on the left against legia something I think we so badly lacked or even a bit of height and power in the centre we put in a lot of crosses to short players which 9 out of 10 times is a waste IMO .

 

Show me a direct quote from any club that says they made him a firm offer....

You do realise clubs don't usually publicly announce they have made an offer for a player right?

How concrete can it be? As I said, you aren't going to get much from the clubs themselves. So I guess you didn't believe any of the transfer rumours regarding Forster until he actually officially signed for Southampton? I mean, it was nothing concrete until Southampton came out and officially stated they had signed him
