Callum McGregor

Yeah he kept the ball well for us when he came on

 

I like McGregor. He's not top level, and he isn't a starter, but he's become an important part of the squad.

It's so useful to have someone who can step in and do a job when we have so many matches to play during the course of a season.

He's neat and tidy in possession, is capable of a goal and works very hard. I also get the impression he doesn't take the huff when he isn't in the side.

Just can't remember him touching the ball.

 

He always does in the SPL, he just goes missing in the big games.

 

Was great when he came on, picked the ball up in the middle and always looking to get forward. Think this is his level, can't see him stepping up in Europe but just now would rather him in beside Brown until we get someone else in.

 

I'm so often critical of him, but thought he was unbelievable when he came on today.

Always liked him. If Rogic hadn't progressed so much, we might have seen more of him

 

Did well when he came on. Almost got us a goal due to him closing down their defenders.

 

Needs to work on his shooting but otherwise thought he played well!

 

Like him, would rather develop him than Bitton.

We have loads of midfield players ahead of him that deserve game time .

 

Not good enough.

Tidy enough at times but his shooting was dreadful, almost gifted them a goal/penalty and he's a *.

 

Dont see a player in him at all. Folk talk about Bitton being a * bag in the tackle, McGregor is every bit as guilty

 

No been as good as he can be this season. Still like him though.

 

A few mistakes but otherwise he was okay, someone needs to tell him to stop hitting long range shots though, if you can't hit at least the target then just don't do it.

 

Thought he was excellent and ran the game in the middle.

 

Shooting was poor today but usually a stronger point of his game..

 

A lot of unfair criticism aimed at him today.

 

Got into a lot of good positions second half but his shooting was absolutely howling, had quite a few where he should have been putting others through instead of taking it himself.

Shocking to give away the ball in the first half the way he did, just lucky the referee bottled it and didn't make any decision with Erik.

I know some people rate him but I just don't see it, never have, if he played for another team in the spl I wouldn't be thinking hey there's a great young player with potential we should snap him up.

 

Does some good things and some horrific things. We haven't got a really hard guy in midfield so it shows up his weakness. Think we can do better. He's ok(ish) but very replaceable
