Stood up for him in the past but he's not Celtic class. Decent squad player and capable in Scotland but that's it

Good when we have the ball but can't be trusted when we're under pressure.

Although I do think he's been in a bad patch of form over the last few games so it's maybe harsh to judge right now.

CM: "The character was excellent to come through it. Big credit to Be’er Sheva, they threw everything at us.

Tbh, we are too top heavy in the midfield and for me he should be moved on, never mind this keep him for SPL *.

We need to cut the squad and he should be part of the out-going players.

He was * again tonight. Deserved to be in the team from the start of the season, now deserves to be out it.

"Terrible player" etc is just excessive, spit-the-dummy material though.

He's not good enough. We wouldn't sign him if he wasn't here already, and now we have the funds to get someone else in. Let's get someone in and improve the first team.

    Never a number ten.

He's fine in the SPL at CM to speed possession up, but he can't be relied on as an attacking midfielder to hold onto the ball and create things.

As stated many times before this lad is NOT good enough for our team. Too many fringe players at the club. We need players who can come in from of the bench and feel like he's a proper first teamer. Henderson, McGregor, O'Connell, etc. are not anywhere near good enough for a club like Celtic.

To be fair , tonight was on the manager !! Said it a couple of weeks ago this thread will run and run until he stops getting a game . He's nowhere near good enough despite what some on here would have you believe !! Also watching janko on sat was like watching a Sunday league player and yet him and mcgregor still found themselves playing tonight in our biggest test so far , if we can see how bad they are then hopefully our manager will finally realise it too !! Much as I think we've got a great manager I'd have been blaming him if we'd found ourselves out tonight !!

I think Brendan will learn from this mistake.

He didn't have a good game at all but there's no way we can compare him with Janko who I just realised tonight is not a good football player. McGregor is a good football player and definitely would be good to have in our squad for SPL matches at least.

He's a tidy little player but he aint good enough for celtic .....if he left us next month where do you think he would end up ?

  20. Swervedancer Guest

I think he could end up at a decent team, definitely SPL or Championship level. We have to remember not all of our squad is going to be good enough for Europe, it's impossible to have such quality on the bench. But he's been with us through thick and thin and shown he can play when he's on his game. That's the kind of squad player we need.
