    * unbelievable quality in that video. He actually reminds me of wait for it ...messi (*tin hat on* )...the way he dribbles out from midfield , his running style and some of those finishes were messi esque (obviously he is not in that bracket , but just physically watching him run and stuff looks like messi ) He will be our POTS

    Have to say how big a part Deila has played in McGregor's start to the season. Would have been easier to drop him than to drop Commons or another senior player but he's stuck with him because he's playing well and it's helped us a great deal.

    He always seems to be there to shoot, the way Thomas Muller is for Bayern Munich. Such a predatory instinct for a midfielder.

    I think if he continues his good form throughout the season we should give him the #7 next season, will be good to have a Scottish #7 that knows what it means.

    Bit early.. I'd have no problem in doing that if he played at this level for this season and next season and then pledged his future to the club with a long term contract.

    Yeah actually after a season or two of success if he isn't pushing for a move away the #7 would be a good reward for signing a contact, I just want us to give it to a someone that will understand it means something :icon_mrgreen:

    Some are getting way over-excited. He has had a brilliant start to his Celtic career and looks like scoring every game just now but suggesting he's better than Commons or that we should play him in front of Commons indefinitely is crazy talk.

    He needs to develop physically for starters never mind in terms of his football.

    He's like James Forrest with a better final ball and a better head for the game.. he has good vision and is quite creative. I love James Forrest too and at the moment I'd say Forrest is probably the better player as McGregor drifts in and out of games quite a bit. I'd love to have the two of them fully fit all the time :54:

    We'll see what your opinion is when his form takes a dip, which it will.

    Luckily they don't play the same position in Deila's system. It won't be an either/or.

    Based on a few games? He is a goalscoring, attacking, midfielder. In that sense he is the exact same.

    We have seen time and again, however, Commons can create. Can McGregor?
