Really eager to see just what we have up and coming from our youth ranks and this approach really excites me about the season ahead.

We don't want a team full of youngsters but we should be able to blood them alot in the league.

Ones I feel are certain to get their chance are Henderson, Fisher and Watt (if you can still call him a youngster). Really hope Marcus Fraser is given a run.

However, given his willingness to try players much younger do you think we will see the likes of Calvin Miller or McMullan brought in on occasion to test their readiness? The Scotland u19s and u17s are absolutely packed with our young players. Others for example Thomson, McIllduff and Nesbit are also highly rated.

    Thoughts?

I'd expect to see the midfielders and defenders get more of a shot due to his style of play and formation.

Callum Macgregor is the one I am hoping will make a big impact although at 21 he is on the borderline between youngster and full time player who should be making an impact, which I believe he will.

I am sure Ronnie will adopt the normal practice that most managers have and that is he will play the players he feels are most suitable to get a result in the way he wants. Every manager sees things different , but they all should be in the best position to pick their players as they see them day in day out .

Given time I think Ronny's philosophy will work wonders for most of the youth players.

We have a young team as it is. I don't think McGregor, McGeough or Atajic will make it with Celtic but I see a future for Watt. As for our under 17/19 year olds, I'm unconvinced any are good enough (yet) to make the grade but I suppose they should be given the chance to prove themselves.

O'connell and findlay should both be given a run in the preseason. O'connell looked ok in a very limited amount of time for the first team last season and findlay did well in his loan spell. I think as you said that henderson, fisher, and watt are seen as first teamers and because of this they will get quite a few opportunities. The one thing that has suprised me so far this season is that paul mcmullen has not gone to austria. When I have watched he has been the standout for our youth teams. This is especially suprising considering ronny has made some comments about how we lack wide players and how he wants to buy a winger. I doubt any of the younger players you mentioned will see any playing time this season. Thomson, Mcillduff, and nesbitt all have yet to establish themselves for the under 20's and Calvin miller wasn't even a guaranteed starter for our u17's last season. They are all excellent prospects but I would say that they're still a few years away atm.

Aidan Nesbitt's looked cracking any time i've seen him, played centre mid in the semi of the euro under 17s and was cracking a bit like di maria should i say could see the flair oozing off him in that centre mid role, sure he plays out wide for us so shows hes a player being able to play in both positions effectively

Forgot all about Liam Henderson. He and Fisher will hopefully have big futures ahead of them both. Henderson is excellent.

Fisher is out on contract right now he is playing for a deal so is Atajic both players must remain with celtic as we hold their registration because they are under 23 until we formally release them or give them new deals

I agree hes looked a good player whenever I've watched him but if I had to compare him to a top level player currently I think hes more like ozil. He will never have the pace or dribbling ability of di maria but when I've seen him hes looked class on the ball and looks like quite a good playmaker.
