I never claimed that Stokes was clinical. They both take wild shots at times, but I definitely think that Griffiths shoots on sight and I'd imagine that his shots to goals ratio is lower than Stokes.

You're all over the place Son. Why don't you calm down a wee bit. Maybe drop the * fake scottish accent when you type (Unless you're Irvine Welsh it's just not on.)

Quite a few people have alluded to the fact that Griffiths has yet to have enough starts in a Celtic jersey to make a reasoned judgment.

Why are you acting so upset? Some of us don't have a raging hard on for Griffiths. It's ok that you do by the way, please do feel free to display your affection loud and long.

I just think that Stokes is a better striker at the moment. Plenty others agree. Just an opinion Irvine :50:

Stokes or Griffiths, close between the pair of them.

    Went for Tony.

Stokes, even when hooper was here it was stokes, the only downside is that he does need a strike partner to get the most out of him which does restrict us tactically especially for big games in Europe.

I like Stokes, and I think he is the best we have at the minute, but Hooper was streets ahead of him. That goes for in a partnership, or as a lone striker. Hooper for me, was just a far more intelligent footballer, and also a much more clinical finisher.

Stokes isn't better than Hooper, Hooper was far more adaptive, far more clinical and could play several roles all to a high standard. They were great together and they both made each other a better player but Hooper is better than Stokes, no doubt in my mind about that.

really hope we keep pukki and he turns his career around here but then again maybe scottish football is not for him but really like him as a player very comfotable with the ball at his feet and good close control

he obviously isnt used to playing against packed defences like we have to play against a lot that his achiles heal he finds that hard

Voted Stokes. What'll be interesting to see is if Holmbert Fridjonsson can make any impact in Deila's preferred system. Could be a Plan B striker.

The options really make you realise how badly we need to strengthen up front.

think in europe griffiths will find it very hard it's just not his game to hold the ball up and bring others into the game

he's on the edge of offside looking to use his pace

dont think stokes is very good at holding the ball up to bring others into the game either pukki is the best at it at the club

They do, we lack serious quality in the striking department.

To think that we had Larsson and Sutton upfront only ten years ago or so. Now we have Stokes and Griffiths, makes me a bit sad really.

To think we had Biggins and Cascarino only 20 years ago, makes me really happy. :celt_2:
