Why do they keep talking like there's no interest in football in America whatsoever?

It's pretty popular. Seattle averages 45,000 fans a game and has sold out on numerous occasions.

If it's any kind of 'lite' beer that I very much doubt anything could make it taste good. :smiley-laughing002:

He looks very average. Quite an athletic keeper I think so his reflexes might be alright but as a replacement for Forster if he goes? No chance.

One of the Norwegian lads said in another thread that there are 3 or 4 better keepers than him in the league so take from that what you will..

And the fact they are franchising even more teams, not to mention the following the national team has. It's quite patronising. There is clearly a massive following for football in the US.

Are Henry & Seedorf really really good pundits or is everyone else just really bad?

I could listen to these two all day.

I think there is definitely a good keeper there. Maybe he could benefit from working with better coaches (goalkeeper). Looked really nervous tonight though and that may be due to inexperience at bigger tournaments - not something we can afford though.

I was watching Portland Timbers play last week as well the atmosphere was unreal, their 'Ultra' sections are quite impressive too. It's definitely coming on leaps and bounds anyway.

I went to a game in Vancouver (Canada, I know - but the MLS nonetheless) and they got about 20,000 fans in the turnstiles which isn't too bad at all considering the city is obsessed with hockey and that takes priority over everything.

The atmosphere was good too. A little too choreographed for my liking, but way better than I expected. They've got nothing on Portland or Seattle though.

    Bit of both I think.:smiley-laughing002:

I'd rather listen to them than the ITV lot that is for sure, BBC for me seems a bit less bias towards England? dunno if anyone else thinks that.

The knowledge they both have is terrific, and as I said earlier I don't know why Danny Murphy is there. If you want someone English then at least make it someone with a bigger reputation or international experience, even get in Ryan Giggs.

Aye I remember reading that but I just thought he was a wee bit jealous because he wasn't a Strom fan. The Strom fan was really praising him.

He is a good keeper, although I think he has had a mare tonight. Looked really nervous. Not at Forster's level though - nowhere near it. At 26, probably never will be.

There is certainly less England orientated conversations when other teams are playing - but it can be unbearable when Shearer etc are building up to an England game.

Aye don't get me wrong Lineker and him can still be a bit nauseating at times but compared to Hoddle, Ian Wright and Chiles it's heaven. Chiles is quite possibly the most bias 'pundit' (I use the word lightly) on TV. His hatred/jealousy towards Germany was so obvious today:smiley-laughing002:

I want to see an Anchorman style fight between the BBC and ITV, with Jim White and SSN turning up at some point to make things interesting. Seedorf would soon sort Adrian Chiles out.

Totally. The Bbc coverage of the Pepe red card was what you'd expect whereas Chiles had a meltdown. It's a lot slicker and more professional than ITV.

Paddy Vieira would be one to watch for ITV though, bit of a unit:smiley-laughing002:

I was literally cringing at that. He is more of a comedian than a pundit, or he is at least trying to be one as he is not funny whatsoever. Not made for the role at all, I mean he supports West Brom ffs.:56:

The meltdown was priceless, the fact he was trying to question Vieira and Cannavaro was it? was hilarious. Notice how Lee Dixon backed him up just so he didn't look completely like a *.
