    Strachan 3 in 9

And your hero Martin, 4 in 10.

Awful record in the cups, terrible, should have been sacked immediately and took that donkey midfielder Lennon with them.

This is the last time I'm replying to you because you are either a raging troll or the stupidest person on the planet. Either way it's a * chore trying to debate you.

Europe until Christmas, the league, more youngsters given a chance and to see this exciting attacking football taking shape.

    Anything else is a bonus.

The league is a given, so champions league football is a must for me, it would be a massive step back if we never made the group stage this season. Then see what we can do in the cups next season.

I'd like to see us use the league to get his philosophies, formation and first 11 bedded in, and hopefully use this as preparation for european ties (CL or Europa - happy with either). Don't expect big things in europe, but would like to see us give a good account and apply the approach Deila brings.

In the cups, i'd love to see him keep a nucleus from the first team, but experiment with the better players from the youth academy and reserves. Basic logic being those that perform well then make their way into the first team rotation.

I know we're all keen on a cup or two, but I reckon you'd end up brining out the best in the youngsters when there's more on the line - relatively speaking.

At the least SPFL champions + Europa League group stages.

A succesful campaign would be SPFL champions + Champions League group stages.

Are you seriously that thick and haven't read what I've said properly?

Gordon Strachan and Martin O'Neill had strong Oldco teams to contend with for the cups, Neil Lennon didn't have that so there's no excuses with his squad. Freak results do happen in the cups, but 7 failures out of 9 is unacceptable and shocking. Now shut up and go away you clueless fool.

The first season Strachan was in charge, Rangers finished 3rd, 18 points behins us. The second season he was here, we finished 12 points ahead of them. Strong Rangers sides indeed eh

You mention that ONE team like you're talking about St Mirren going bust or the likes ffs get a grip of yourself. That ONE team you speak have been our greatest rivals since time began, they've always been our nemesis in the cups and with them always there trebles should never have been expected. Now that exist no longer and we have no one even close to our financial power we should be sweeping up the cups. This is a unique opportunity in our history that most likely we'll never have again and we've blown it the last 2 seasons to capitalise on their demise. If the tables we're turned you can bet your bottom dollar they'd have cleaned the trebles right up. Hopefully it will be 3rd time lucky without them in the league and this new manager will be able to do what Lenny failed to do and deliver a treble which we should have done by now without oldco. I could maybe understand one freak result, perhaps two. But there's been far too many over they years not to mention missing the chance to lift both domestic cup trophies at Celtic Park last season is unforgivable as we will most likely never be afforded such an opportunity again and blew it.

Stronger teams than what Lenny has faced that's for sure.

Win the league and get to the CL Group Stages. We should still be able to qualify 'cos we are in the Champions stream and are one of the strongest teams in that set up. Winning a cup or two is a bonus, CL qualification and the league is a must.

Another thing to blow your theory out the water, Strachan never lost to Rangers in a Cup game whilst in charge.

His first season, he lost in the Scottish Cup to Clyde, his second season saw us lose to Falkirk in the League Cup. Then in his third season, we lost to Hearts in the League Cup, then Aberdeen in the Scottish Cup, and finally, his last season, we were knocked out of the Scottish Cup by St. Mirren. So this strong Rangers team that you speak of had no effect on our woeful cup exits.

But they we're still always there, bearing down our backs with pressure and we knew they had just as good a chance as ourselves to win the cups. That pressure is now gone and with that we should be sweeping up the cups while they are no longer in our league fighting for the cups.
