Good post, fitness has been an issue within the squad and the amount of injuries the youth players are getting while out on loan and being branded unfit by other coaches is bordering on the ridiculous.

He'll be 29 at the end of the month.

This manager with what I've read and heard likes his players playing for him generally between the ages of 16-27 roughly with the exception of the GK position.
Not so much pressure, but I feel with the budget we have compared to the rest domestically and the state the zombies are in we should be capitalising on this. Let's not deny it if the roles were reversed they would have been ruthless and probably collected one or two trebles in this situation.

I fully expect Ronny to deliver this anyway as I have so much faith in the guy. I can't really explain where this faith has come from its just a gut feeling.

The league and bringing in the youth. That is what he is good at after all.

Anything more will be a bonus.

The least i expect is the league and a domestic cup,i do realise how much Europe means to us on a financial basis but i do not think it would be fair to Scold him if we didn't make the CL group stages,in Strachan and Lennon's first season in Europe we made no impact so i'm not expecting miracles in the first season.

I think the support is united in the fact that this guy needs time to implement his philosophy on the team which is a good sign,he said himself he won't overhaul things too quickly so i'd expect a gradual improvement in our style of football over a 2-3 year time period.

Have to laugh at people saying the treble should be a given. Only 2 managers have ever done it in our history.

Yes this is true, but they had stronger teams in the league to contend with for these trophies and it was more of a level playing field, the manager and team today do not.

Still doesn't mean it's a given though. In cup games especially anything can happen and teams try twice as hard to try and upset the odds against us. One off games are always hard to call, which is why champions league qualification shouldnt be expected either.

    6 one-off ties worth £20m +. Impossible to predict.

And what every year we were always knocked out by a strong side under our best managers? Nobody was demanding trebles when Rangers were in the top flight so why are they demanding them now? It's not like Rangers were always the team to knock us out if we didn't win the cup. It's laughable. A treble is something that comes along once in a blue moon.

This is the best chance we have in our history to do it, a unique opportunity and we've blown it twice. Even if teams do try twice as hard as you say it still shouldn't be enough to beat us and fingers have to be pointed at certain individuals in that case.
It's a unique opportunity mate, it's as simple as that and we should be taking advantage of it. There are no excuses and our cup record has been deplorable. Lenny's record wasn't that much better than Salries in domestic cups and his squad was torn apart whereas Lenny had the best in the country.

Exactly and personally and although i'm gutted when we don't win them i don't mind seeing the other teams getting a little bit of glory now, that's what happens in a fair and honest game. For 25 years we and the rest of Scottish football had to endure a corrupt, rigged league in which the only team who could best the dead club was ourselves, the death of Rangers wasn't just a victory for us,it was a victory for the whole of Scottish football.

I hate it when we lose but hey that's what happens in a fair and transparent football game, the smaller teams are getting their chance and good luck to them.

I would be happy with a run in the Europa league, qualifying was going to be hard enough but with a new manager and most transfers having to wait until after the world cup its going to be even harder, League is pretty much a given so win one of the cups and get the the Group stage of the CL or EL at least
