So we were beaten badly by a small club then.

I'm tired of these "pre-season" games where mostly foreign fans are ripped off by greedy British clubs who put out any old * on the pitch. Celtic should be ashamed of themselves.

    Competitive at what level though?

Struggling through the qualifying rounds of the Champions League, and then pleased with ourselves if we do decently in the group stage?

They have history alright, they last won the league in the early 60s, been in the European Cup/CL once in that time, completely in the shadow of their nearest rivals, they took in 90 million last season for one player so I take issue with almost everything you write there so. I'm assuming you can only be a fan which in that case we are not going to agree are we?

    It's greed though, innit?

He likes the club appearance fee and doesn't care about what old * he puts on the pitch in Celtic shirts.

    I'm not a Spurs fan. :smiley-laughing002:
About the closest I get to liking Spurs is my strong dislike of Chelsea.
They have a European title and always had a good fanbase, a tradition of good attacking football. They're a big club. Winning the English title has always been far harder than the Scottish one, the gap wasn't as big as now admittedly.
Newcastle are a big club too, probably bigger than Sevco. Wolves and Sheffield Wednesday are decent sized clubs far bigger than any other club in Scotland except us and Sevco. As for the others, well I'd just say use your common sense.

How the * would rangers coming back change any of that? Its not like with their return the league is gonna sign a lucrative tv deal and we'll both be challenging for the last 4 in the cl.

You signed up in December 2013 after The Dundee Riots and your only posts since then have been criticisms of Celtic Football Club.

    Absolutely reeking. :smiley-laughing002:

I didn't claim that Rangers coming back would change any of that. I was taking issue with poster 'maggiethatcher' saying that we don't need Rangers to be competitive.

I'd have thought that given the state of affairs of Scottish football it's a stretch to say that we are competitive. We're ranked 53rd in Europe by UEFA.

Do you think that fans who went to that game got value for money? Did they actually see Celtic FC?

You consider realistic analysis to be criticism?

If so then continue to have blind faith in the fantasy world that you inhabit.

In all honesty buddy we won the league by simliar points margin then when we do tend to win when they where around.

The state of affairs in scottish football is of course * up, however the competitiveness has certainly got better between all the other clubs, and the death of Rangers has been a blessing to some of the clubs around us as they then realised they need to tighten up shop, which has then seen their fans turn out record ST sales and a small handfull of clubs effectively becoming "debt".

No the mentality of the few is such because you are just talking pure crap, the highlighted phrase is a great example of that. As a side note, Chris Sutton is one of the most respected individuals that has graced our club in the modern era and the esteem that Celtic fans will hold for him will be huge because of what he done for us, so dismissing anything he has to say just because he's "an Englishman" is a crock of *.

We do NOT need any cheating scummy * in the league and thankfully the orcs got what they deserved in 2012. We managed to get to the last 16 of the Champions league two seasons ago without Der Hun, so I don't think that adds anything to your ridiculous argument of "Celtic needing R*ngers". We need them for * all and the sooner Sevco go the way of Hun FC the better.

Also, I think you really need to look up the definition of "bigoted" before you start branding that about the place. Just cos someone disagrees with your pish it doesn't make them "bigoted" :87:

Why would it be advertised as that anyway? We don't have a "B Squad" and the team WAS full of youngsters anyway, as Dallas Cowboys said. Big difference when one team fields practically a full-strength squad and the other team is full of 17, 18, and 19-year-olds.

Who the * do you think they saw? Or do you consider Celtic FC as only the top players for the 1st team?

I guess when we got beat 4-0 by Ajax two seasons ago in a Friendly the fans never got value for money either. The game on Saturday was a friendly for * sake....not a Cup Final.
