    I agree.

But it is money to the board so they won't care.

Well as expected that was a completely pointless excercise.

The few British fans who went over have wasted their money seeing a highly paid Spurs team stroll around in 0.5th gear, Celtic's children learn how not to defend, and the Finnish locals will be * they have payed a (presumably large) ticket price to see what they though would be a good match between two top European teams.

Spurs gained zero preparation or match fitness by playing essentially a training game of attack vs defence and Celtic's kids merely followed the senior's in learning how to take a beating.

    At least it was sunny.

I tend to agree with this. We should just have bought Dundee Utd. There is nothing coming through the books or the ranks. This is depressing.

Calm down everyone. We lost 6-2 to Greuther Fürth last season and they were relegated from the Bundesliga the season before. Friendlies are friendlies.

No, I'm starting to worry for him. I think he's a guy who can lose confidence and his game suffers. Shouldn't have played him.

Mcguiel, you know i am both a Celtic and Sours fan. Just open your ****** eyes and admit Celtic are in a rubbish league, have average players and without Rangers this is going to be another boring season. Celtic can not afford any decent players. I can not see why fans like you can not be honest enough to say own up admit the glory days have gone, unfortunately.

Listen any team in the EPL or their next league will embarrish Celtic as long as Deila and Collins continue to play a system that doesn't suit their players . Today with basically a young team of boys playing a team that would cost more than all the players in the SPL . They tried to play an open and attacking game . Only to find that they couldn't get the ball. I thought it was O'Connell and Ambrose against Spurs for long periods .

Why are we playing friendlies to get the kids up to speed .
We are struggling to get to the CL leauge stages and we are playing stupid friendlies for the second and third 11 ?
Its the first team we want to get up to match fitness not the kids .
No doubt it will all be to do with money

I've said it before but it's worth repeating: why don't we get the guy in who revamped Dundee Utd's youth set up? They just sold a Scottish LB to an EPL team who we previously let go for the * stupid reason that we thought he was too small. I'm not convinced the guys in charge of our expensive youth setup are doing a very good job to be honest.

Pointless match, pointless to give a * about it when we have more important things to deal with on Wednesday.

Gets us right up for Wednesday.

Hardly a pointless friendly, we just played Spurs in Helsinki. Many of these players might like the city of Helsinki and its a good reason to visit.

Also the chance to boost commercial revenue in Finland. How many thought about commercial revenue in Finland? Not many, shows you why you aren't working for a highly successful business.

We got pumped by a very young Ajax side in 2012, look how that season went for us. :50:

Question though, are these games being promoted as first team friendlies just like the match vs St. Pauli? Was a bit dissapointed seeing no first eleven regulars in Hamburg.
