It's amazing that people still deny Lenny left because of the downsizing.

I just dont think lack of funds was the main reason, I think there was many reasons and yes that was part of it but if he seen the writing on the wall why so suddenly.....I think something happened and he jumped ship before he was planning to.

    1. He took a even worse funded job.
    2. We was bring in ronny to work with lenny so there was some sort of plan and time scale in place between the club and lenny for him leaving.
    3. Has he not said he will be back, that is not something you say after leaving due to lack of funds....when you know there will always be no funds.

imo just does not add up to lack of spending alone.

The fact he left so suddenly confirms it. He was like * this *. The degree to which we * up and the level of incompetence since Ledley was sold is outrageous. Also Lenny flat out said he left because of the downsizing, what more do you want?

He said it was ONE of the reasons.

I still feel Lennon should have come out and said this when he left. The board deserve it.

Lennon done well here but if given the choice between him and Moyes as next Celtic manager, then it's got to be DM.

The latest he should have went was Christmas now we are stuck with a tactically clueless manager and a team that seem like they don't want to play for him. Why the * was McGregor or Commons not brought on against Dundee?? Jesus man from the main stand you could see we had no creativity from the midfield and what was bringing Armstrong on with 2 mins to go all about, securing a point???!!!!

Doesn't matter why he left. He left and he made a rip roaring * of his decision to join Bolton and the Bolton job itself.

Celtic has moved well past Lennon and Lennon should do the same.

In any case, both Lennon and Moyes are favourable to Ronny.

Conversely I'm glad the Board aren't backward thinking nor do they pick Managers based on emotional ties.

If Deila ever were to leave Davie Moyes is the answer. It certainly isn't Neil Lennon.

    spot on

Well said, I said Deila was ok, wrong he's a dud, a complete waste of money , all talk no action , we struggled against East Kilbride , what more
proof do we need, get him out quick before the roof falls in.

Theres no way we will get David moyes unless he's willing to take a massive pay cut and a transfer budget of 6 million if he's lucky . The main problem with Celtic is the people at the top and changes need to be made there to .

I fear we are stuck with this clown until we fail in the CL qualifiers again. He will get one more chance although he should have been gone months ago.

Why? Going by your logic MON is off limits as well I suppose? Lennon hardly left on bad terms, he wasn't forced out of the club by nobody (given the board weren't purposefully downsizing to oust him) and I don't think the fans really wanted to see him go.

Somewhere along the line it became fashionable to rag on Neil Lennon and understate just how good a job he did for us. People who do this are clueless sheep and should not be taken seriously. They are more interested in populist fad notions rather than tangible evidence. They are the same sort of people who have read that two up top is dead and dogmatically repeat this view.

Why isn't the answer Neil Lennon? Aren't we looking for a manager who brings in young players, develops them, sells them for millions whilst competing in Europe?

I wanted to see him go, his football become boring and predictable. And if I were to bump the threads I'm sure I was in the majority.

You have such a bee in your bonnet about Lenny it is unbelievable. :56:

You're allowed to love Neil Lennon bit critique his ability as a Manager. It's OK, he won't fall out with you if he finds out.

Alternatively the answer isn't someone that just relegated Bolton to League 1.

Easy to twist things to suit an argument. Isn't it.

What the * is Ronny's football then if not boring and predictable?
