I past the tipping point after the Europa campaign. I haven't got faith in him going through but if he gets through, he deserves to stay.

Lennon didn't make the CL until his 3rd season in charge. Just a thought

I should've elaborated. By tipping point I meant with the board and their ineffective decision-making.

I, like you, passed the tipping long ago with Deila. To allow him another go at CL qualification would be a massive gamble; one that has very little to back it up as one worth taking.

Ronnie could easily win back a lot of support if the team win the league and cup with some good performances.

I think most fans would support giving him the CL chance and let that decide his fate.

I expect him to have a positive reception tomorrow and there will be some buzz about the place if we win as it's one of the tough games.

I truly hope that isn't the case. No hard feelings against the guy but a few good performances/results against Scottish teams would only be papering over the cracks. We've been dressed down regularly by teams with a fraction of our budget & I fail to remember a squad as gutless as this one. Clearly something is amiss.

I'm struggling to think of an instance where Deila made a decision that swung a big game in our favour.

Clearly you didn't watch the game against Kilmarnock.

I agree with you but I was always for giving him time and the CL if we won the league.

Confidence can do amazing things for a manager/team.

I can't see us signing someone so good they will automatically get us qualification anyway so it's not such a big risk letting Ronny have the CL opportunity.

If you're saying he should be lauded for bringing on a sub that scored with a piece of individual brilliance against a team toiling in 11th in the league then I just do not agree. We were seconds away from failing to beat Kilmarnock for a 3rd time this season, after another rank rotten performance - one that is now all too regular in the Deila era.

Edit: I should also say that I did say "big game". I realise many will believe Killie was a "big game", that's pretty much down to how dreadful we've been under Deila that the league is so close, subsequently making these games seem big when in yesteryear they'd be considered as your bread and butter.

A manager makes a couple of substitutions and one of the subs scores a winning goal. The chances of this happening at least once a season are very high.

Rogic scoring a wonder goal in the dying minutes of a game had heehaw to do with the tactical deftness of Deila.

A must win game against a team that are scrapping for any points, the fact people dismiss them as we should be pumping them every week is part of the problem, then players go in with a similar mindset.

We have always had this mindest domestically bar games against oldco. The managers job should be to get the players right for a game.

It's a forum, we're all entitled to differing opinions, that's surely the purpose?

If you think Deila deserves praise for sticking on Rogic who scored a worldy after another 90 mins of total uninventive, dog * then that's your prerogative. I simply don't agree.

Twice we'd played Kilmarnock this season, who played the same system and failed to take the 3 points. Deila then goes and plays the exact same system against them, bar a moment of sheer genius from Rogic we were destined for the same result as the previous 2 matches.

A total get-out-of-jail card, to dress it up as anything else is ridiculous IMO.

You know if he never brought Rogic on, we probably would have drew? His decision got us the 3 points. How anyone can argue with that is beyond belief.

The last few games Ronny has been a far more active manager, he's made changes effecting the games and the flow of the game. He deserves credit for that.

Bringing on Rogic proved to be a very good change, he done well there.

I've noticed that. Hopefully he's appreciating that he needed to start using subs better, etc. I Still hold out hope for him! Although, there have been doubts I hope he's growing into being manager of Celtic.

A win against The Rangers in the cup could be just what we all need, Ronnie, players and fans. As it won't be the walkover it was last season, will be a better game and the win will be all the better for it. :shamrock:

His tactical ineptitude and inability to change a system which had been twice failed to defeat Kilmarnock was the reason we were in the position in the first place.

Dress it up however you like, he has the best squad in the country by a mile and is failing to utilise it to it's capability.
