There's a part of me now that hopes we win the league, scud the Huns, win the cup, and then Deila tells the club and certain sections of our support to ram it.

He's not on a whole lot more money than he was getting in Norway, but he's getting incredible amounts of grief and blamed for virtually every negative aspect of our club at the moment.

He could easily swan back to Norway with his reputation enhanced with an SPFL title winners medal in his back pocket, and possibly a cup win under his belt as well.

The guy would be better getting to * away from here, he's still young enough to get his career together and move forward as he was doing before he made the mistake of taking this job.

This season has really opened my eyes up to our so-called support. Best fans in the world? Aye, very good.

I hate to say it, but we've been upstaged by that rancid lot down the road. Their club cheats, * them over, * after * in charge ripping them off left, right & centre, demoted, and their fans react in a siege-like mentality, turn up in numbers to watch a * team beat even * teams in parks I wouldn't even walk my dug in.

Us? We've got a club that is financially sound, run by people, who despite not being the most likeable or adventurous, are at least keeping us ticking over in a satisfactory fashion.

In the past five years we've won 4 league titles, 3 domestic cups, reached 2 other domestic cup finals, made it to the Champions League twice (including a last 16 run), and made it to the Europa League twice, with a round of 32 run.

We've played against the likes of Atletico Madrid, Barcelona, Benfica, Juventus, Milan & Inter, and are still on course for a domestic double, which will include a win over the Huns if we accomplish that.

How do a lot of us react to that?

We turn on the manager, the board, the players, each other and stop showing up to games because despite being top of the league and in a cup semi-final we're still not happy.

So aye, a bit of an eye-opener really for me. I was surprised that a few names turned us down when Lennon left, but I'll not be in the least surprised if even more do the same if we ditch a manager who wins the league and maybe a cup yet comes in for the kind of criticism that should be reserved for a trophyless season.

With the money on offer, the standard of our game and the way our support treat you like * if you don't just win, but win in a way they deem acceptable I'd never take the job here.

Even that * Warburton feels sorry for our manager!

The thought of Deila telling us to "ram it" both gives me a hard on and also makes me wet which is incredible as I lack female reproductive organs.

The situation of the Celtic manager, especially since Rangers died, is unusual.

We're expected to win the league because we simply should with our resources; the same goes with the domestic cups although being put out in one of them is seen as something that can happen on a given day.

The sad reality is that most will judge us by how well we do in Europe. Being so close to the CL group stages, especially when we blew Malmo away for most of the home game, is what makes it so disappointing. Then the Europa League campaign had one calamity after the other.

At that point, I was still backing Deila as I thought I had seen signs of a good team but for defensive and sloppy errors.

It's when we start to struggle against teams like Hamilton and Dundee, with accusations of some players looking uninterested, Deila's signings not performing well domestically and even having a 2015 summer signing being shipped out for loan already, you get the feeling that people are right to have serious doubts over Deila's ability to do the job.

Part of the problem (I've said it before), is that we are spoiled by success domestically so it's being taken for granted. Deila will likely win his second league medal as Celtic manager and possibly a cup, that will mean he has succeeded in at least one of his main objectives.

Even our most down and out supporter's can't think we'll only win just over half our remaining game's on the home stretch?

    It just won't happen..

Good for you Daíbhí then you can come on here and say I told you so.

For me though he is already a failure after our EL debacle. Going on to win the SPFL and beat a 2nd rate hun won't have me crying if he tells us to stuff it and goes back to Norway

Why is it? We're not just under performing, some of our displays have been a disgrace and more worryingly, our team are not playing as one whatsoever and quite frankly, look to have chucked it on more than one occasion..

If the sheep have the stones they will win the title. Reread that last sentance. That is Deila's legacy. He is a disaster from head to toe.

Good enough for what? To win the double? Yeah, I think we have been. Good enough to win the league? Yeah.

Could we get better? * right we could, and with the players we've brought in this season I think we will get better. Christie, Allan, Jozo, Sviatchenko, Roberts, Ajer.

Hopefully we'll start shifting some of the decent earners this summer, the guys who it's been hard to move on. That'll free up a bit of the wage budget.

I'll take a domestic double every * year, as well as a Europa League campaign no problem. Could we do better in the Europa? Sure, and last season we made it through the group stages for a plum tie with Inter. There's no reason we couldn't do the same next season.

If we end the season with no trophies, or we lose the league, then my opinion will change.

As is, everything I said in that post is 100% what I believe.

How many league games have we lost this season? 3.

Sure, we've hit an iffy patch the past two games for sure, but before that? 6 wins, 1 loss in 2016. 22 goals scored, 5 goals conceded.

Europe has been a tough nut to crack, but domestically we've been very good.

Personally a highlight of the season for me between August and January is going to watch us play our peers or our betters in Europe. As things stand at this present moment it is not a trip I feel worth taking 2 days off for and paying flights/boat and hotel. Its sad if we cannot look to competing outside of Scotland where we dwarf our opposition.

    * typical I knew we would beat Morton and this crap would start again. He will never ever get us up to level we were at when he was handed the job. * em we need to cut him loose it's not personal it's just business.

That assumes the problem is with the players and not the system. If this is the case why would he carry on through the EL and up to this point in the season if there was a problem? If its a player problem Ronnie needs to go for letting it fester for so long if it is the manager and his tactics then he needs to go for the failures. Two possibilities one solution.

The level where we had just won the league, been hammered rotten in the Champions League, winning one game and losing 5, conceding 14 goals and scoring 3, got papped out of the league cup by Morton in the 3rd round and by Aberdeen in the 5th round of the Scottish cup?

Compare that with a league & cup double, a cup semi-final and the last 32 of the Europa in Deila's first season.

This season isn't even in the books yet, but we could be walking away with another double.

Aye, and drawn 6, in 28 game's....meaning we've just about won over a third of our game's. Is that really something to be praising?

You mention that we've hit an iffy patch but were playing decent for what, 2 months? We had that dreadful month before that where we weren't winning at home, weren't scoring at home....and against some of the dross we were up against, weren't good enough..

You can sit and paint a statically happy painting but our season has been a snooze fest, we haven't improved one bit on the park. At time's we've been passed off it by team's who search for frees in the English conferences and our European adventure, well let's just leave that one alone. I haven't seen much to be positive about and if we do win the double, which I'm confident we will, then great but it'll be papering over some long cracks on the main stand wall..

    What? :smiley-laughing002:

    Our league form is thus;
    7-3-2
    Our last 12 games.

Conveniently ignoring the two atrocious draws at Hamilton and Home to Dundee.
Cheerleading is fine, but don't ignore facts.
