So Boyd issues a statement, that people disagree with which is fair enough, but for some to say he is 'only' saying what he has been told to say .. Jesus just how insulting are people needing to be :52:

Michael Owen has made many, many, many more gaffes on commentary than Boyd has.

Boyd isn't a clever guy per se, but he certainly does not talk as much * as Owen. Forget the tone of his voice, immaterial.

February 9th Tom Boyd appointed Celtic ambassador. February 9th Tom Boyd gives interview in support of Delia. I will draw my own conclusion. I don't think any less of Tom no more than I would of Jim McGuinness if he came out in support of RD.

I don't get the outrage on people putting 2 and 2 together. It would be strange if a company hire a PR who would not speak well of the company.

    So many patronising * :56:

He is an allowed to have a different opinion than any of you. It wasn't a released statement or pre-prepared interview. He said what he thought, whether or not he decided to be positive to aid the Club is immaterial.

I's whatever suits your agenda you choose to believe. I know this cuts both ways.

It might have been prepared in advance but I am sure so was his appointment. He may well mean what he says but the timing of the interview would suggest IF he didn't then he would be stupid to pick that time to slate Ronnie.

30 pieces of silver though? What's that about? As insulting as it gets.

Guy's getting called a traitor, soup taker and all sorts for supporting the manager of the club he loves.
    Hang the * :87:

People are just saying that he is being a wee bit slippery in his defense because he is protecting his own interests i.e. his job at the club. This does seem to be the case. He is a football man so I am sure he could say more than his puff piece today if he wanted to but he is choosing not to and I dont blame him either.

The Ronny lovers losing their minds and Boyd is hardly getting it in the neck is he? Need I remind them of their almost militant attack on Chris Sutton etc it wasnt right then and its not right now. Boyd is not even getting any abuse people are just calling him out for what seems like him reading from the script.

Correct figuratively speaking of course because hanging him out to dry will mean he gets the bullet at worst or create a hostile working environment at best. You dont bad mouth a work colleague I dont know why people are struggling with this concept.

He is insinuating that there is on this site a heavy flavouring of anti scottishness.
