Nobody could fault last night but this is the sort of thing that is expected. Complete dominance in Scotland is the minimum required from our manager. I think trusting him with another European campaign is madness I really do. Moyes is still out of work and I reckon we could go out and get him and give him time to get to know the players before the qualifiers but it looks like the board are going to gamble yet again in the hope that Deila gets it right.

Forget Moyes is not what celtic need!

Nobody at boardroom level at celtic wants deila out, just fans who run there mouth and let their belly rumble who have been spoiled by the Martin O'Neill and WGS era, who think celtic have a divine right to win every game 5-6 nil. Even Barcelona don't have that right!

Unless he loses the league this season he will get another crack at CL so there is options for the fans:

Back the manager and the team
    * off and stay away like some of them are doing to the new club comes up
    * off and don't come back your negativity is not needed nor wanted

    *delete as appropriate!:50:

Sean, we could win games 15-0 and celtic fans will still find a flaw with Deila, the problem with them is there is no overall consensus of who they want to take over its a "anyone but ronny" attitude and the obsession with the CL is beyond me now? aye its great to play in but took lenny 3 years and he nearly * it against Karagandy the 2nd time!

There wont be a summer window we will get all our business done this window with the exception on maybe a few departures (not significant) and a maximum 2 summer arrivals, 5 players in this window either the now or bosmans to arrive in summer

Am always intrigued with some of the names we could get as Manager. Just curious, but given that Moyes must be sitting on a pile of redundancy pay from Man Utd and Sociedad and is still highly regarded, why would he want to play the like of Hamilton x4 for most of the year.... And don't say it's because he's one of us/ a Bhoy.

I am thinking long term. All this talk about "implementing", "culture", "philosophy", "youth", "Ajax model", is all a heap of bullshit ya know. No amount of apparent cultural changes at the club will make up for missing out on the CL money.

It really is simple, get that money and keep the ball rolling. Breeding a winning mentality, signing experienced pros, boxing smart in Europe, annihilating the rest of Scotland.

Whatever Deila bring it is not worth losing 20m a season for it, it is not even worth risking it.

Deila aside the most important change needs to come at policy level. Our signing policy is flawed but has some really good elements. Fix it. Sign experienced pros.

Experienced pros such as who? Just out of curiosity. Are we talking about guys like Roy Keane who were approaching the end of their career and then fancied pulling on the strip for us. Or experienced pros like Thomas Gravesen on a big wage?

I am thinking more along the lines of Samaras and Ledley, letting those players leave is mental.

In terms of specifics on who to sign I am not a scout but I would like to see us target players in the age category that we ignore 27-30. It is on public record from a few sources that we do not target these players as a matter of policy.

I like the new signing however the guy was a club captain at a Danish club that is a move in the right direction.

hahaha you bright spark!! That comment was a tongue in cheek response to a tongue in cheek comment above by Anton. I knew someone would pick me up on my comment and ignore his. Ye could set your watch to this forum :smiley-laughing002:. To make it easier for you would you like me highlight my font in red when I am being a wee bit crafty?

Both Ledley and Samaras were 23 when they signed for us, hardly in yer "27-30" category.

That's not what your point was.

Your point was we should sign experience players around 27-30. Then used Ledley and Samaras as an example.

We will never know till we hit Europe.

Sadly the opposition we face week in week out just doesn't prepare us for facing European competition.

I sincerely hope we can play in the qualifiers with even half of the tempo/pressing/passing/confidence that we did last night.

In Europe though it's us that get pressed into making mistakes, hopefully the tables can turn.

Well I thought my thoughts on those two are well known on here regarding them leaving when they were at peak age, however I do see where you got mixed up.

Somewhere Roys Keane is getting a hard on.

    For you Chmelar/Mark1975 ^^^

I would like to see us have players in that peak age bracket, whether we sign them or re-sign them on new contracts.
