    So you wouldn't attribute any of the blame to our famed scouting department? Despite the way our transfer system is reportedly ran?

    Fair enough.

    We haven't been using the scouting team lately. We sign players Ronny personally has seen.

    Is that right? When did that happen? I always thought our transfer system worked something like the following (in brief);

    Manager identifies a position he needs filled.

    Scouting department draw up a list of candidates from their database of names which fit the attributes the manager is looking for.

    Manager and head of scouting department work together to identify a target from that list.

    Peter Lawwell checks the financials and attempts to work out a deal with both the player & selling club.

    If that's not the case, and we're now operating under a system whereby Deila completely bypasses the scouting department and John Park and goes directly to Lawwell with his own targets then Deila has to be held completely accountable.

    It also raises the question of Park's role with the club in my opinion.

    One thing that has surprised me is our lack of activity in the Scandinavian market.

    Ronny said in his interview with Sutto that its very difficult to find players good enough from Scandinavia but I find that hard to believe. There are definitely players there better than PL reserve players.

    It's been happening since January. Lenny trusted Park a * of a lot, he'd worked with him for a year before he got the job so had time to foster that relationship.

    Ronny's not been using it as much though, even the likes of Jozo came to our attention because we've played against him. Armstrong, Christie, GMS, Ciftci, Jozo, Berget. Denayer, Guidetti, Blackett and Janko through his contacts in Manchester.

    Think the last scouting ones were probably Tonev, Wakaso and Scepovic.

    It's not straight to Lawwell, we have our database there as always. They can supply who the managee wants if he asks the question, if Ronny doesn't want to sign those players we don't though.

    Are you still of the opinion only 1 player from 19 have been good?

    No really, I think my opinion was that was Gordon, who is doing his hardest to change that opinion the now.

    Denayer and Guidetti were good but didn't do much for our long term plans. Simunovic looks very good and I think Janko will be.

    Allan looks promising.

    Tonev, Berget and Wakaso didn't impact our long term plans either, you can't disregard the good loan signings whilst slating the bad ones.

    You've said on this Forum numerous times that Armstrong is Brown's successor now you are suggesting he isn't a good signing? Doesn't make sense.

    Nor does the fact you've not taken into account the reason Cole was signed or Christie or Duffy or Bailly.

    I'd say wakaso could have been great but it's like he never got a chance like some players got. Berget is a giant slayer who was unfairly treated and blamed for ronnys early struggles. The others were * tho

    I didn't put the put into the bad loan signings did I? It was all patchwork outside of Scepovic last summer. I think Armstrong can come good im the middle of the pitch, so far I don't think he's been good and don't think he is ever a left winger as Ronny's been playing him. Right now he hasn't been a good signing, doesn't mean he can't prove himself to be.

    I think Cole will be a good signing, I also think Christie will be. Right now both haven't had any effect on the team, so I can't say if they are yet.

    Very excited about the new dynamic Cole could bring to our attack. He really looks like he knows how to unsettle defenders. Ronny promised 2 up front when Cole arrived so I wonder if we'll see it tomorrow.

    You stated the loan signings that were good didn't contribute long term, neither did the bad ones so?

    Either Denayer and Guidetti were good signings or they weren't, in the case of Denayer it is undeniable.

    Right... so that still doesn't mean they were good signings?

    Denayer was an undeniably good player, I think not having him a d not having a settled partnership in defence going into the qualifiers cost us the Champions League this season though. Which is why I'm undecided on that, I don't really like loans for that reason, can leave you in the lurch. Cracking player though.

    I think if RD is to prove himself to the true Celtic fans he needs to:
    Win the league by a re cord amount of points;
    Most goals scored ever;
    Least goals conceded ever;
    Win the treble;
    Dig up Lawells driveway;
    Find a cure for at least one type of cancer;
    Solve the Middle East crisis;
    Every player signed in Jan must be an immediate success;
    Anyone who demands less is just not enough of a Celtic fan IMHO

    That's not giving Ronny a fair crack of the whip.
    Lawwell has just had a new heated driveway
