Neilson should win Manager of the Year - and quite rightly so imo.

Although ultimately it really means the square root of * all.

If we were in the cup final Ronny would have strolled it but Neilson has had a superb season and he will quite rightly win it

Neilson should win it but don't see why Hughes is even there. You're team got through to the final solely because the referee deliberatly didn't give Celtic a penalty and send your player off. Deila deserves it more than Hughes.

Should be McInnes. They are unlucky not to be closer to us in all honesty.

You could also say that they are lucky we had a slow start, they won't have that advantage next season.

I don't get people saying McInnes 2nd best team in Scotland and were expected to finish 2nd and did so what they got pumped outa both cups and didn't reach one final which they would be expected to so deffs not.Ronnie should be ahead of him in the award but I expect Neilson to get it

I think there's a good case for all the candidates. I'd give it to Ronnie though. He was an honest mistake away from an historic treble in his first season outside of his native Norway. He's instilled a new philosophy and culture at Celtic and recovered from a difficult start to restore some pride on the European scene and return a domestic double. He's completely transformed players like Leigh Griffiths and Nir Bitton and brought out the best in Stefan Johansen. He has the most resources but he's achieved a * of a lot in a season of transition for us.

    Great post Vertie :50:
Bitton has been superb since he came in and he's probably the reason why Mulgrew is off this summer

Aberdeen have a better record than us against the diddies this season and for this they and McInnes deserve respect.

We had 3 hard fought wins against them and from their point of view they can legitimately think they could/should have taken more from these games.

Considering the quality and budget handicap then they gave us a fair go this year. They pushed us harder than oldco did at times. Im thinking a few WGS and MON seasons here.

People are spitting the dummy and going mental as if telling the truth is somehow a criticism of Ronny. It is not. The truth is he does not deserve to win the manager of the year award, McInnis does.

As for Neilson, any team that drops from the top division should look to come back up by winning the league. I respect the achievement but it does not make him manager of the year. And another thing when did managers from the diddy leagues become contenders for this?

The manager of Hamilton deserves it more than Neilson in my opinion and he was not even mentioned.

Who's spitting there dummy out haha ? Its the way they came up tho u cant argue that yeah ok no point even arguing fair play to Aberdeen for pushing but no way should get it that's my opinion Hughes is even ahead of him but cant fault the job mc Innes has done but should be making at least one final and they were expected to come 2nd besides rangers had a far superior budget as well and still couldn come close and hearts with a bunch of their youth the year before
