He's a guy who makes good decisions a lot of the time, and learns from the bad ones. If you keep doing the right things over time, you'll have success.

Agree. I saw one pundit say that winning the League Cup was easily his biggest achievement of his career. Turning Strømsgodset into the side it is today was a stunning accomplishment and is far more impressive than winning the League Cup I think.

So the plan was he was Lennon's right hand man this season then Lennon left this summer and Ronny took over?

Aye, Deila already had the assistants job. Which was also why when Keane got offered the job Deila was to be assistant, that was non-negotiable.

Think the longer term plan was for him to take over after a season or two of bedding into Celtic with Lenny.

It is better that it worked out this way. We would have been cutting off both mens balls by forcing them together. Lenny had his backroom team and it should have stayed that way. * knows what the story with Mjalby was but it is all too familiar with our club. I think our treatment of Lennon and his backroom staff was shocking. I really wanted to see where he would take us. But what is done is done i would like Ronny to get the respect that Lennon was never afforded i.e. let him build a proper settled team and bring in his no1 targets.

I think we did. Lenny did well for us, but he was here for four years and probably took us as far as he could

Nonsense we sold the spine of his team and only stumped up for men way down the bottom of his list. We should learn from this and make sure it does not happen to Delia or we will very soon find ourselves in transition again.

Lennon took the team as far as he could. It was best for all concerned he left.

Lennon was very limited as a manager.

He would have set up defensively versus Inter and got 5-0 over 2 legs. Deila attacked and only got beaten by a poor referee.

The Board really do need to be commended for the foresight in appointing Ronny as number 2 and then having the strength of conviction, when lennon walked, to promote Ronny further. Well Done Pete.

For me our next manager is currently part of Ronny's coaching staff I'm not talking about John Collins I mean John Kennedy he is destined for it

I don't think it was conviction, was desperation. No * else wanted the job under the circumstances we were offering.

I don't think that's fair on Lennon at all. Internazionale are no better than Spartak Moscow were when we beat them home and away under Lennon. They're certainly nowhere close to Barcelona who we held our own against in three of games out of four.

    I would agree with that.

Along with not panicking, when a micro section of the support started giving him stick.

Against Legia Warszawa? I doubt it. They were a very, very good side.
