I think it's down to Lawwell now to give Ronny his full backing. We will never have a better opportunity to achieve something special for a long time.

Yes i wouldnt hold my breath though. We really should have backed Lennon properly and pushed on. If we wouldnt do it for Neil then I dont think the board would do it for Ronny. In fact i reckon that one of the conditions of Ronny taking the job was that he would have very little money. We have a chance to leave Scottish football behind my biggest fear is that we do not pull away like we should

The results were getting now is what most of us expected from the start of the season. We all know half of the squad didn't buy into the new managers regime. It has taken a while for us to get there but we are there now. This is down to the players finally knuckling down and getting on with it. We didn't become a poor team at the start of the season. There was issues on the training park. This is all behind us now. Well done to everyone involved

Well in fairness Ronny has to shoulder a lot of the blame. He dropped Commons for Berget away to Legia and dropped him again at home to Maribour. For a while it seemed like he was freezing out both him and Griffiths. It is starting to work and we are all delighted but you have to call a spade a spade

og1 - As I've stated above there was issues with Ronny's ideas and as u say some of his team selections. All parties involved have learned from their mistakes and we have moved on.

In hindsight, Lennon leaving has turned out a blessing in my opinion. Deila has come in and freshened things up, and there is a real buzz amongst the fans at the moment. Lennon done a brilliant job here, but it had become a bit stale in my opinion. I honestly believe we have a better manager in Deila as well, and a far more modern one.

I love Ronny to bits and I wouldn't have any other manager in the entire world right now but I'm really sad at how Lenny left without any fanfare :54: He was a great servant and a legend in my eyes yet it was as if he was just cast away without a second thought or slunk away while no one was looking. Ronny's imminent huge success much as I love it and wouldn't trade it or him highlights the failure of Lenny to have the opportunity to have done likewise. Lenny was a different type of manager and we could argue and make comparisons between him and Ronny all day but I wont forget him and I only wish he had been given a last big hurrah.

A blessing for the fans who were bored maybe. I like stability and wrapping up the league as early as possible. We should not be in transition this year end of but we are. I hate the fact that the suits at our club gamble with our future on an alarmingly regular basis.

Ronny is now in and doing well thank *. What we need is to consolidate and build on this year not tear down the wall and start again. Central defence is a big problem going into these qualifiers. Lawwell is the head suit who makes these decisions, he will sell VVD for these games and we wont have JD mark my words. We could still * this up yet

I agree. I think this whole situation was a disgrace. I think someone should answer for this as well. Lenny would have led us to the 10 and whoevers job it was to keep him happy, royally * up. The fact that he was allowed to leave should have meant whoever failed to keep him here should have went also. His position was made untenable because he wanted to spend some of the money he made the club but was refused. Another case of someone showing whos boss over our players/managers it looks like

I think Lennon needed a break from all the pressure that comes with being a Celtic manager, he seems a happier man now down in Bolton. If he needed to spend a lot of money to get where he wanted to then he was probably not the right manager for us in the long run. It's just not where we are as a club.

He should have been allowed more than he was, he generated a fantastic amount of money for the club. Ronny should also be backed, he hasn't really been so far.

I want to see us make a push to become properly established in the Champions League group stages. Especially with it becoming even more valuable with the BT deal.

I agree but I feel that he wasn't given his due appreciation at the end of the day. When Henrik left there wasn't a dry eye in the house. He loved the club and it's fans and we loved him.

I agree it wasn't great the way Lennon left, but for me, it has turned out for the best. Lennon put us back on the European map, and I've always stated that. He took over a shocking Celtic team, and had us beating arguably the best team on the planet in Barcelona not long down the line. However, last season was a poor season in my opinion. Whether we win the league by 30 points or by goal difference, it still ultimately achieves the same goal. The cup showings last year were utterly embarrassing, and Lennon overseen a fair few howlers in cup games, no question about that. I think there is a buzz about the place now that wasn't really there last season. An excitement that we could be on the verge of something pretty special, I never felt that last season if I'm honest. We looked like a team in decline I felt. I, like yourself, loved Lennon here, but I'll be honest, I'm happy with the changes.

There were plenty of fans not happy with last season, and the way things went. It wasn't a case of being bored, our failures in both cups were abysmal.

I've always thought last season was more of a transition season than even this one, by the end of the season I was extremely happy with the way we were playing though.

What's done is done but I loved Lenny's time here and I loved the football he brought. Deila's getting there for me though, lets hope he can cement himself as a legend as well.

99 points and CL qualification is better for our club than a domestic treble. I am not trying to devalue the treble here by no means but our club needs the CL money every season. The domestic cups should be a bonus not a target
