Deila has not even been allowed by the board to make one permanent signing since taking over on 6th June. His three signings so far have been loans.

I'm not saying that Deila should be totally absolved of the blame for tonight, but the calls for him to be sacked after less than two months in the seat are ridiculous, heat of the moment or otherwise.

    Exactly.

Just saw his post match interview where he stated twice "We aren't good enough". Lawwell is hanging him, and us, out to dry.

Agreed Lawwell is the chief protaganist in this *, but can you honestly say any of the tactics and decisions made thus far fill you with confidence?

That doesn't prove anything. He hasn't pressured the board or assaulted them verbally. That would prove he is not a yes man.

He didn't do a lot wrong tonight. The only bad sub he made was he took Kayal off when it should have been Mulgrew or Johansen. Picking Efe didn't work out but it's not a decision that I'd crucify him for. He has experience and has played very good for us in Europe in the past. For some reason he's just got worse, not sure why.

I stand by Ronny Deila, give the guy a * chance. People calling for his head already are absolutely clueless.

I will be disgusted if Deila is forced from the club. The ethos he's trying to impose on thr team is exactly what we're needing. Of course, im hurt and disappointed (as we all are) but the Europa league never hurt Lennon did it?

I hope he leaves on his own, and incriminates the board. Then he will have left in a good memory for us fans. I can accept that he's being forced to work with no money. But he's tactically inept, still.

His tactics were a * disgrace for us against a * team like Maribor at home....sitting back..............no support for attackers....the amount of teams the ball went forward and not a * supported was criminal. The amount of time wee McGregor got the ball and looked up to see not one single *!

The players looked like they didnt have a clue where to be and playing.

If playing counter attack against euro dross is your bag and the tactics you want to see us employ, good luck chief....

Have just read Ronny's interview on Club's Web site and the one comment that sticks out is

'We had a good enough team to go through but we didn’t do it.'

Maybe I am expecting too much but having watched us tonight we are not good enough. We have too many average players and, Ronny, if we are good enough then why the need to buy players? Answer is we're not good enough.

And replace him with who though? By all accounts he was 3rd/4th choice.

Id give him the season and europa league and re-evaluate.

Can someone tell me what he is trying to impose? Cos i havent a clue what his playing ethos is.

What happened to the i would rather attack and loose comments....* bollocks....that was a cowardly team set-up, cowardly tactics and cowardly performance from the players.

Replace him with some older, experienced manager. Klaus Toppmöller, for example. Deila and/or JC can be coaches. They are ferocious and demand discipline, but an old fox is what we need at the helm.

A new pressing and attacking team. Instead of this counter attacking football. I can understand the counter attacing football is required against the top guns but Maribor were nothing special - now the only reasonable conclusion is the players arent good enough, not the manager.

2 seasons ago we reached the last 16. We have since regressed - selling wanyama, hooper, wilson... Forster and not spent any money to adequately replace them. Now whos in charge om finances as far as the team goes? There's your man to blame.

people keep going on about tactics, tactics worked last week and should of won by 3 goals with chances created, tonight team didnt turn up players didnt turn up and some performacnes where a joke, cant do much with a team in 6 weeks, and especially if no players in yet, ok got few loan signings but only berget was only one available, people always say managers need time to build a team, time to get players in they want, and as soon as new manager comes in lets sack him, ill back him and i like sound of him, give him time, board back him properly and lets see what happenes we already knew after defeat to polish * holes, that we was no where near good enough, need new players get rid of the * and dead wood so many at the club its unreal

The Europa League should do him and the team good. We, right now, are just not good enough for the CL.

Agreed we have regressed and you cant make honey out of dug *.....but what I refuse to accept is that the 11 players on that park if set up correctly and showed the right character would have beaten Maribor with ease.

He took the gig.....I respectfully take your point bud, but not a * in this planet will convince me the tactics employed (especiallly first half) were a total disgrace and invited the end result we got.
