Again, thanks for your insight into Ronny/Stromsgodset. I've been reading a number of blogs/articles on your Club and in many ways there are similarities with the way our 2 Clubs operate. However what also comes across is the important part Jostein Flo has played in setting up the current structure. Are Flo and Ronny a double act ?

Really good! Great with his feet and often starts our attacks as we are known for playing our way out of defence. Adam is a solid keeper, will probably be Ghanas first choice during the World Cup so you can see him there. Makes the odd blunder, but fewer and fewer as he has matured. Still only 26 I think, been our first team gollie since he was 19! That is Ronny's faith in youth for you :86:

4-3-3 they say is the modern formation the succesful big guns are using so sounds about right, in fact mark wotte has tried to introduce that to our national youth development sides as the way to go and what the rest of europe are doing..

4-2-3-1 is a formation i've always wanted us to adopt with a bit of flexibility of course and one, with the right players, that could do well for us in europe..

That's exactly what I was thinking - well said man!

I was thinking at first - are we getting too far ahead of ourselves but do you know what - * it.

We have to live with so much doom and gloom supporting Scottish football, losing our best players, losing our manager and not being able to compete to the end in the CL. All of this because of money.

So when an eccentric, young and prosperous manager comes in, shaking it up from the norm and is excited about being here, oh holy * Imma get excited. :smiley-laughing002:

I've seen a few people say that Deila is the 'cheap option' but he's really not. At the end of they day, we're having to pay compensation to his club to get him.

Coyle and Mackay, for example, are without a club just now. They would be cheaper. I suppose it depends on the wages though.

I'm not sure I like the idea of the club picking an assistant for him. I hope he gets to bring in one or two of his own men.

In the same way we have adopted an approach of signing players before they become class I.e. Wanyama, Hooper, VVD, Forster, Matthews etc etc etc... This looks to be the from the exact same train of thought. Progressive, potential in bundles and someone looking for their next step in terms of career progression. It makes complete sense and I hope the support buy into it because he is going to have to hit the ground running with the most important games of the season literally weeks away already.

His first job will be keeping our best players or if not replacing them with enough quality to navigate the qualifiers, his entire Celtic career will be shaped by the results from his first few games.

Jostein Flo is immensly important for Strømsgodset, he has set up the current structure and gave Ronny Deila the chance to shine, never questioning his abilities. He gave Ronny a contract extension in his second season when Strømsgodset where in the relegation-zone, thats the season that ultimately ended in the pictures of Ronny stripping down to his underwear infront of the crowd.

A double act? Yes and no I would guess, Flo does not interfear when it comes to tactics and training and such, but I believe they work together on potensial signings and such. Flo is so shrewed though, got us 17 million kroners for Stefan you know :86:

You are not getting Jostein Flo aswell :smiley-laughing002:
