Seems more likely. The remainder of his contract only equated to thereabouts anyway.

Think this will be a real coup, aw I hope we aren't disappointed.

Plays good football, style has been likened to Barcelona and bayern (guardiola type manager?), likes to promote youth and give them a chance, from a different culture, thus has different contacts and links.
    I'm sold.

The guy will hopefully give the likes of biton, watt, rogic, fridge, twardzik, McMullan etc a better chance.
He knows johnasen, and other players of that ilk from norway and Scandinavia, so hopefully see more of that. Will probably get the best out of johansen actually.
The league will be fine, if he really dicks up the champions league, then we have the Europa as a fall back. If he * that up majorly that we see no euro group football, then * help us all. But he deserves the benefit of that, he deserves to learn the game here, learn our players, being in his vision, and develop this club forward.

Get Fat Sally to stand alongside him and it would be the tale of Little and Very Very Large.

I personally am excited at this appointment.

As much as I would have liked to see Moyes/Mackay here, I'm glad that the board have gone down the foreign route and are going to try and deliver something a little different with the new manager, rather than the tried and tested method of the ex-Celtic player returning to take charge.

Deila will bring different styles, different tactics, and a different mindset altogether.

Hopefully it will be a refreshing start for us and a very successful reign for Ronny :50:

I just hope he is given time and not immediately slated if he fails to qualify for the champions league.

I think many fans underestimate the difficulty of negotiating 3 one off ties worth a fortune:smiley-laughing002:
In all honesty we were very lucky to qualify last year!

Very excited I must admit. Dodged bullets in Keane and Coyle.

Ronny Deila is set to succeed Neil Lennon as new boss of Celtic

THE Norwegian flew into Glasgow in a private jet this evening to complete formalities on dream move.

Ronny Deila has flown in to complete deal with Celtic

RONNY DEILA is set to be unveiled as new boss of Celtic.
The Norwegian is ready to become the figurehead of Parkhead after jetting into Glasgow last night to seal his stunning move.
Deila’s arrival ended another frantic few hours of negotiations on either side of the North Sea as the Hoops hunted their man.
Having sorted the personal side of affairs with agent Tore Pedersen on Wednesday, Celtic chief-executive Peter Lawwell headed to Oslo Gardermoen Airport to thrash out a compensation package with his peers at Deila's club Stromsgodset.
The Daily Record understands a third offer from the Scottish champions was enough to secure their man.
Deila then boarded a private jet to Glasgow being being whisked away to complete the formalities on his dream move.
And, barring any last-minute hitches, it is expected that Celtic will be able to announce their man today as the successor to Neil Lennon.

It was a fairly ridiculous post :smiley-laughing002:

Screw having a progressive approach, intelligence and fantastic man management skills, give me a seasoned old pro who knows what it means to be a Celt!

Still not an ambitious move for a manager who's won basically nothing his entire career. Cost a small fortune to get him from Derby in the first place never mind his wage, would rather have Coyle than McClaren
