The sense of optimism is strong on this one.

Hopefully it's all wrapped up by lunch time tomorrow- can't take much more.

How do you pronounce his name by the way?

    Like 'Dee-ya' or 'Dee-la'? 'Day-ya'? 'Day-la'?

Hope everything is wrapped up tomorrow. Saw him give an interview on SSN where he said he hasn't spoke to the club, but he's flattered etc etc. I think that's what he said anyway.

I'm excited, my heart is set on Deila, please Celtic don't end up with Coyle

    Do we?

so you would rather no CL football as long as we played good football while crashing out of the qualifiers?

Nope. I'd rather we play good football and get into the CL :50:

I don't think I could cope with a manager who played like Sam Allardyce style football.

The guy would rather fail than play ugly football.

Sometimes (especially us in Europe) you have to be pragmatic.

Playing expansive football domestically is one thing but you must be able to adapt. I worry that this guy might find the job to be too big for him.

I hope I'm wrong because I really wanted someone from left field.

This is all assuming he gets the job. Who the * knows what is going on these days. :smiley-laughing002:

We are expected to qualify though, its kind of a different situation because the team he was talking about had nothing to lose. Also, I think if we played good attacking football we should get through qualifiers, maybe even impressively so.

Considering one of the teams we could get is his current club, I'd say the qualifiers are anything but a foregone conclusion.

If this guy truly is the messiah then his team must be quite good, no?

That goes for most other teams in the qualifiers. Over a couple of games anything can happen. These games are a sprint not a marathon.

Sure we should win them but as we all know, cup games can be a *.

Speaking of Leftfield, what about Kenny Jackett?
Wolves got into the Championship in a canter, and he seems pretty good at progressing any team he has a go with!
