Probably not as much as a guy like Coyle:)32:) I will admit but if I am not mistaken is the Norwegian style not very similar to ours?

. At the end of the day anyone we appoint is going to be a risk no matter how well they know the game in this country or how well they know the history of Celtic etc.

    Well I'll fill him in:

    Celtic

    the rest.

What does "knowing our game" even mean anyway?

@JanAageFjortoft: The journo who broke the "Deila to Celtic-story in Norway" @mortenstokstad, says only formalities remain. Clubs are negotiating

@mortenstokstad: Bare formaliteter gjenstår: Ronny Deila blir ny Celtic-manager. http://t.co/E2JrfJIao7

He sold us Johansen and has probably watched him closely since so he must trust our game to send one of his top performers here

To be fair whoever we appoint is gonna walk the league buts Europe the new man will be tested, also I'm not sure about the Norwegian style of football to be fair.

If he gets the job he will find his feet domestically and will have enough breathing space to make some mistakes. I only hope he can negotiate the CL Qualifiers and guarantee some for of European football till Christmas. That said it would be the same with any appointment as we won't be getting a Manager with any European experience.

To be fair he would have had no choice in selling him to us it was all about the money.

Aye he would have to be an utter, utter UTTER diddy not to win the league.

In Europe who knows we shall have to wait and see, I'm interested to see what he does with this squad and if he thinks a complete overhaul is needed. One thing is for sure I'd expect at least one of his players from Stromsgodset to come with him.

He knows how to work with a small budget and challenge teams who have on paper better squads(Molde and Rosenborg mainly) so that could work in our favour for Europe when coming up against better sides.Although granted it will be on an entirely different scale.

His style of football is also fast and pressing which is a style sweeping europe right now and the kind which I want to see us use. Players like Johansen are crucial in making that tick.

Never heard of him but after reading through the last few pages he seems to be an alright candidate.

I would expect him to go for players in his old side as well, I can see us overhauling the side but I hope he does not try to do it like Mogga did and it * right up.

Does Carlo Ancellotti or Jurgen Klopp 'know about our game'?

Can anyone think of any Scandinavian managers who've done well in this country or in England?

Michael Laudrup did quite well. Struggling for others.

Most of the ones I can think of failed - Skovdahl, Kampman, Solbakken, Solskaer(so far), Egil Olsen, Sven Goran Eriksson, Paatelainen(mixed record. Did well at Killie then failed at Hibs).

First off they are managers who are in a different league to the guy linked with us and would never come to celtic so what is your point? I really don't know what you are getting at with this reply at all when someone else was asking me a question on what does that mean. :31:

I'd rather Larsson to be honest.

He'll have my full backing though.
