It's this thinking outside the box that many have been wanting so hopefully there is some truth to this - think his agent was seen leaving Celtic Park earlier so obviously there is.

Would take this guy over the supposed frontrunners - Coyle, Clarke, MacKay - who lets face it, are largely only being quoted due to their Celtic connection.

I like the sound of Deila. More than most of the other candidates mentioned anyway.

This statement is not right. The cup is important, and contrary to Sweden, the final is very important and always sold out. The Swedish cup is of less importance though.

Does anyone know what the guy's English is like? Being from Norway I'd guess it would be decent, but being decent and understanding Tony Watt are two very different things.

Who is Stromsgodset ? I have never heard of them.

Clarke has been with the best in the game Chelsea, Liverpool,Newcastle,West Ham, and been manager of West Brom, and he knows the Scottish game inside out.Deila's resume bears no comparison to Steve Clarkes. You say we have a weak domestic challenge, I remind you we got knocked out of both Domestic Cups last year, and teams like Aberdeen, Dundee United and Motherwell are improving year on, its complacency at its worse to say we have no domestic challenge.

Deila could end up being another Mowbray which would set us back years.I am not prepared to take that risk, Clarke is the far better prospect IMO for continuity and potential progress.

Going by what I've read about his managerial style, if he is appointed Tony Watt won't be around long anyway:smiley-laughing002:

But yes, I imagine his english is good.

The folk whose opinions Reporting Scotland canvass outside the stadium are always an absolute riddy. Their cameras seem to be a magnet for roasters.

Wait until the manager comes out the front of Celtic Park, you'll get some roaster shouting about how all we ask for us this and that.
