Was that not in January? Would be amazed if Palace sacked Pulis after the tescue job he did.

Deila hasnt half steadily developed Stromsgodset they only got promoted in 2006 and he took over in 2008 and has went 11th 12th 7th 8th 2nd 1st. That pretty impressive especially with not having a great deal of money to spend and last season they had scored 66 goals and only conceded 26 goals in 30 games. Only 38 years old. l like the sound of him.

They say that he has studied and spent time with Klopp and Rodgers (twice) so we quite clearly see what style of football he wants. Im quite buzzing about him actually.

As far as I'm concerned, the Norwegian league is more competitive than ours and this guy delivered the goods. I hate when someone is dismissed because of where they come from.

He's ready for a step up it would seem. The only thing I'd worry about is if he can handle the pressure of being Celtic manager. The media attention will be somewhat alien to him. If he isn't fazed by that though, he is clearly a good coach.

    http://www.dailyrecord.co.uk/sport/football/football-news/celtic-hotseat-ronny-deila-emerges-3643544

The 38-year-old Norwegian has come from left field, but is confirmed to be one of the men under consideration to replace Neil Lennon.

The club have already made contact with Deila, who is hugely admired by senior figures at Parkhead after leading Stromsgodset to their first Norwegian title in 42 years.

He has a fast-growing reputation for producing young, exciting teams, and developing players such as Stefan Johansen, who joined the Hoops from the Norwegian champions in January.

Deila moved from playing for Stromsgodset to coaching, then eventually into the manager's position in 2008.

He led them to Norwegian Cup success in 2010, and, after finishing runners-up in the title race in 2012, his side lifted the championship in December last year.

Deila's style has seen him compared favourably to Borussia Dortmund coach, Juergen Klopp, and it would be considered a major coup if Celtic succeed in landing him.

Others remain in the frame for the job, but Deila has now emerged as the man they all have to beat.

Think these dicks really do just nick all their stories off this forum :56:

What was he doing with klopp and rodgers mick?

His record taking over the unfancied norwegians and the progression, is impressive..

We'll wait and see, i still can see mr coyle sneaking through the turnstiles..

Several sources in Norway saying Deila has been offered the job.

The way it's going, any new name that pops up is seen as fresh and exciting. Garcia, Tuchel and Dealia are a break from the normal names that crop up like Coyle etc.

Again, can't say I know much about him, but wouldn't mind a European manager. might bring some fresh ideas
