If he's turning down money down south then there aint no way he's going to Celtic.

I agree - Larson did enough as a player to be a hero for celtic forever. It's a great point that it would be hard for him to fail as well.

The most significant factor, for me, is that Larson sticks to his word. He is absolutely stoic about doing what he says he's going to do. Hats off to the man for that.

With regards to Henrick tarnishing his legend status...............the Fat Happy Chappy is still a legend at Tesco Govan despite his best efforts to run the * into the ground.

As I've said before, if we are going to take a 'risk', now is the time to do it. The league is practically a gimme, CL qualification is the big one and a cup should be expected.

If Larsson was asked and took it you would have to be a fairly brave man to suggest he wouldn't succeed given who he is and his single minded approach to everything he done in his career.

The longer the process goes on the more I'm convinced the stars are aligning in his favour.

We are probably the only club that can offer Laudrup a shot at the Champions League- he's had his stint at clubs mid table but I think he'd be arrogant and see himself above the Scottish league.

    EXCLUSIVE

A good friend of mine who works at Glasgow Airport (he mostly just lurks about outside frankie and benny's nicking the discarded pizza crusts of people's trays) has just sent me a carrier pigeon message saying that he just seen Jose Mourinhio standing outside The Caledonia Bar sucking brown sauce of his fingers and bumming a smoke of a fella that looked like Bertie Auld.

    CL final here we come!!!

I think Laudrup would see himself above the Scottish league too.

The difference with Moyes, the other high profile candidate, is that he played for us and appreciates just how great the club us, even if the teams around us are dire. The fact that he is Scottish also helps.

Is Clarke still in the running? I think he'd be a good appointment. Tones of experience coaching and loads of possible contacts for rebuilding the squad.

Probably, but his brother played here and his uncle managed Aberdeen. Don't seem him managing Celtic beyond the realm of possibility what with only being at clubs like Swansea, Getafe and Spartak - better leagues, but not bigger clubs.

You talk about belittling and sneering at comments and yet that is exactly what you did to everyone with a sweeping statement about how we are speculating and how stupid it is? :smiley-laughing002:

Anyway don't call me a simpleton mate when you can't even construct a sentence/statement and don't know the difference between being and been. :icon_mrgreen:

He is very true to his word however that trait might see him not come here at this moment in time. He has only joined Falkenbergs at the start of this year and has already said he wants to honour them and stay till the end of the year. Who knows..

That is exactly why I feel we should be going all out to get Davie Moyes. Some of his better nights at Man Utd came in the Champions League, and there is a very high probability that he will never experience those nights again, with any EPL team. If he opts to wait on a job in England, it is more than likely going to be with a team similar or below the level of his Everton team. Maybe I'm being biased here, but I don't see the attraction of going back and doing something that he done for years. At least by coming here, he would face a fresh challenge. Just my take on it, and as I said, perhaps slightly biased in our favour.
