What if the player wants to leave? For all this talk of the club selling players, we can't really stop a player forcing a move. Happens all the time.

It tells you he likes combining ITV with Asst Manager of ROI more than giving them up to focus on the Celtic job. Also one of the Irish papers has been running a story that an EPL Club with previously strong Irish links are interested in him being their Asst and at the same time, allowing him to keep his Asst ROI job. Aston Villa come high up on the list of Clubs and they are on lookout for an Asst.

Glad Keane isn't coming in, to be honest. As I've said before, much better options out there that we could potentially get.

After all, Tony Mowbray's looking for a job...

Not wanting a manager who has been sacked from west brom, and been traditionally a assistant manager. No doubt he will be the yes man lawell is looking for , who will work on a shoestring budget. Glad to be proved wrong though

Without knowing a single thing and basing it purely on guess work, I'd say Keane was getting * off (as he does with everything) about being what he perceived to be strung along when he has a flight booked for Wednesday to the US.

Thankfully for us because despite the fact it would never have been boring we would have regressed at a rate of knots under Keane. Going from someone as articulate and knowledgeable as Lennon to someone that basically feels as if he can bully everyone into getting what he wants.

Roy Keane : "They are a brilliant club, an absolutely fantastic football club, one of the best in the world. But I have got a job."

He later added: "I'm not taking a pay cut for anybody."

So the board are clearly showing no ambition again and trying to go as cheap as possible!
