It's ideal for Moyes. Win silverware, rebuild his reputation etc but I think he'll end up at a EPL team midway through next season. Clarke seems to have the repuatation but his last few months at WBA let him down.

I'd love it to be Steve Clarke to be honest.

    Stoke's agent

Gerry Carlile @AgentGerry · 18h From what I've heard today I'd be amazed if Roy Keane wasn't unveiled as new Celtic Manager in next 24 hours.

Looks like Keane has knocked back the Celtic job. Incredible how football changes in a short space of time.Steve Clarke now in driving seat.

In my opinion it's absolute madness from Roy Keane not taking the job. An opportunity to manage Celtic probably won't come around again.

Keane getting job. Where does that leave Park and Lawwell?

Goes to show no one actually knows what happens inside Parkhead, we really do keep things under wraps.

I wouldn't choose Clarke but he is an infinitely better option than Roy Keane.

It's time to stop * about though, go out and get Davie Moyes.

If it's no Keane, then I hope it's Moyes!

Clarke will get us playing football exciting football and that is something I will look forward too heard he could possibly bring Zola as Assistant as well which would be a superb coup for the club

Delighted with the news in all honesty. The guy is not good enough. The last time he done anything of note in management was quite some time ago. I just hope this doesn't open the door for Owen Coyle

Moyes would be the most competent out of all the contenders on the list, I hope it is him now.

According to Sky, Desmond was talking to Keane, but no offer from the club (official or unofficial) was ever made.

Dalglish has recommended Clarke to the board.

When I was looking at the odds yesterday I was drawn to Henrik after reading all the comments he has been coming away with through different outlets and he was sitting between 25/1 and 30/1.

I have a sneaky feeling that's the way the board could now go and he will be on the next flight over if it were the case.

So it's a case of who does Dermot want now?

If it is Henrik we will be waiting until November though. I have never known Henrik to go back on his word.
