Good move for Keane if true, get a few trophies on his CV that he wouldnt get elsewhere. What kind of football can we expect under Keane, hopefully not route one ball.
Really dont think this is a good move for Celtic but il gladly be proven wrong.

He's managed two professional teams the clue is in the
    job title.

You can't have managed & have no managerial experience,
    that's just silly

I just hope he brings coaches with him who knows how to play attractive football, he comes across very harsh on teams who arent creative on itv so hopefully he'll realise how important the style of play is to us, im sure he does being a celtic fan himself. Weve got a great scouting network in place here anyway so that should take care of itself. My main worry is that he'll disrupt the current atmosphere in the dressing room we had under lenny.

How long until his 1st player bust up? I reckon it will be with either Commons or Brown within the 1st few weeks

Your concern about possible disruption in dressing room has been made and whilst I understand your concern, isn't that the case when any Manager comes in because until they get into the job, we don't really know what will happen. As I've already posted, he will keep us in the press with SSN, BBC etc but in a way he is the safe option. We know what he's done, some of it good and some not. In a way his personality is bigger than his track record.

I would like us to go with a young guy with fresh ideas that gets us excited, Garcia, Jackie Mc , Petov from Limassol, Clement from Real. But whoever it is, we'll win the League and whether we get into CL groups will be his benchmark.

I was really looking for us to going a different route with our new manager & Garcia seemed a good option. If we end up with Keane i will back him but please * he better have learned a lesson from his previous managerial positions

Ive also seen people say if its Keane get the job he will be getting a good budget, this is bullshit if the Club were going to give a good budget & not sell Forster & VVD Lennon would still be here

Anyone think it wont be keane. He want huge wage unless Desmond is chipping into to help cover it
He have contract with itv for world cup. How is he going get know players and take pre season training and games.
We got most important game off season shortly after world cup finishes.

Excellent point about the World Cup.....hadn't thought about that. Maybe that's reason it's taking a while. PL to RK, 'Roy it's either ITV or Celtic, because you will be needed here by mid-June.'.

Keane, to me, will struggle just as much as Lennon has in bringing players. The reputation he gained in his previous managerial jobs as well as his attitude on tv could well be a hindrance in bringing players in. I dont think there will be a plethora of players wanting to come to Celtic because RK is manager. Lennon spent most of his playing career down south as well and has worked with great managers so i disagree with your comparison. The fact is RK needs Celtic more than we need RK, he is looking to restore some semblance of a reputation as being a candidate for the managers job at top clubs and the only thing that goes fo us is that he should know that if he fails to produce the goods with us then he will find it really hard to convince another decent team to employ him as manager. Also the fact that DD is pushing this appointment suggests that RK will have a decent transfer wedge to ensure he has the best start to proving DD was right in giving him the job. Altho given the signings he made whilst at sunderland and ipswich im a little worried about the calibre of players we may end up with.

I have read that DD and Regan are bankrolling the Irish national Managerial team to the tune of 2m a year.

Ferguson even mentioned a few times about how he had to adapt with modern footballers and it became more of an arm-around-the-shoulder type management than his previous "hairdryer treatment".

You're right though, that style of management has become outdated.

It's just as well he'll have as much say over the amount of money we spend on players as Lennon did then, isn't it?

Lawwell isn't going to suddenly start blowing our bank balance on players just because Roy Keane is manager.
