In person I mean, I work in a shop and all the Celtic fans I have spoken to don't want him.

I personally think a lot of our fans are a tad deluded as to the calibre of manager we can attract in this day & age.

I would like to add that these men have all been 40+ and would rather see Jackie Mac, MacKay or a foreign manager, but barely two people have agreed on the same person.

Leeds have sacked McDermott, could see Lennon going there now even though the have a nutter of an owner in charge

I mean seriously, what exactly has Jackie McNamara done thus far to suggest he's the man for the job? Partick Thistle & Dundee United?

He's no more qualified than Keane is.

Fan 1 "Keane is a rubbish manager, don't want him here"

Fan 2 "well he completely transformed Sunderlands season in 06-07 and got them promoted and held them in the PL"

Fan "well.... ugh" *5 minutes later* "Keane's a rubbish manager, don't want him here"

Is one good season, 8 years ago, enough to merit being the celtic manager nowadays?

Owen Coyle had a couple good seasons. Why are fans so against him but fine with Keane?

I'm kind of warming to the idea of Keane but he certainly still has to prove himself, his managerial record is non-existant in my opinion.

Exactly, I'd take Keane or Coyle before Jackie.

And this is before he has signed there will be plenty more from the jurno * probably see this as better for them than what they had to make up about Lennon every week keane won't stand for it

They probably don't want him based in experience with a small percentage because of the way he is but they want Jackie and Owen coyle who who don't have any real experience either they make no sense these 40+ geezers

Coyle has turned us down once before and now that every club in England has realised how * he is he comes to Scotland for a job, no1 will touch him again in England

Sorry if point has been made before but Coyle annoys me, knocks us back with excuses about his family living in Glasgow when we are desperate for him, now when he is desperate for a job those Glasgow concerns are gone!!!

I think the grim reality is that the board are looking at Keane Coyle and McNaramara and those of us who want an outside the box appointment like Laudrup (not so keen without Morten) or Garcia will be disappointed.

Have to say I am not excited at all with the main front runners from out side the club so I say promote from within, give Frail the job with Kennedy his #2 :50:

I wouldn't mind Coyle either, it just annoys me how Clarke and McKay who's done less than Coyle and similar to Keane, are being seen as a better candidates for absolutely no reason.

Also I was just responding to people saying that Keane's a rubbish manager.... which clearly isn't the case.

Why not get Billy to do the job, he would be cheap and won the double in our centenary year :97:
