    Was Pochettino THAT good at Espanyol? Had a couple of pretty good seasons, but the final season he flopped and got sacked. He is comparable to Laudraup in a lot of ways.

    Why the * are you bringing Roy Keane's nationality into the equation when discussing Alex Ferguson's comments about Keane's managerial abilities?

    Do you honestly in your wildest fantasies believe that Ferguson's comments were laced with some deep rooted anti-Irish sentiment??

    Careless, victim mentality comments such as that do nothing but make it harder for us to be taken seriously when we try to highlight actual instances of anti-Irish racism in this country.

    People can say what they want but in my opinion, ferguson was never sectarian or even seemed to even have that bitterness towards us, like most do..

    Basically, i'm not buying it, ulster scot..

    IMO, Roy has not got Lennys mental toughness, cunning, charisma or leadership ability.

    Roy is a soldier, a very good one, fergies enforcer, would run through a brick wall for the cause. :31: He has many qualities, but;

    Roy Keane is no Neil Lennon, that's for sure.

    Keane was a great player, but has proved to be a hopeless manager.

    Serious questions must be asked of any manager who signed Daryl Murphy.

    * is a qualified manager?
    I seriously don't understand what one is if you are saying Keane isn't one. :97:

    To be fair murphy at Ipswich went well and keane can take the plaudits for that, he wasn't good enough for Celtic but they are a million miles apart from us in terms of stature and squad size.

    Neil Lennon signed Daryl Murphy for Celtic does that make him a bad manager? Sir Alex also said Gerrard wasn't a top top player in his book when in fact he is one of the best of the PL era Sir Alex was a bitter old man in that book everything said should be taken with a pinch of salt

    in todays daily record's hotline page they have a full page instead of the usual wee side bit, all about keane. thing is they gleefully state that not one person who phoned in was in favour of the appointment of keane as Celtics next manager. seems a bit strange that not one person agrees with keane coming in. bit of a hatchet job by the record on keane methinks.

    You're surprised by the hatchet job?

    He's another one of those pesky outspoken Irishmen. Scottish football just got rid of one of them, they don't need another.

    An Owen Coyle type who plays the game and knows his place is what's required.

    Every person I have spoke to doesn't want him either so I'm not surprised.

    There's a fair amount of people on here who wouldn't mind having him as manager.

    Much rather Keane then Owen Coyle, Keane will keep us in the news and the papers Coyle will just tell the media what they want to hear
