I think that goes without saying really. The team is still at the rebuilding stage, even moreso if Van Dijk and/or Forster move on this summer.

I'm sure he'll be given some good quality players to work with.

IF is a huge * word my friend. Not point wondering on pure speculation and then offering a negative slant on it.

Lawwell was on there saying between 5-10 candidates. Possibly even taking a week or so more to decide.

Lawell saying 'we will see in the next week or two'. C'mon to *, the board should have at least narrowed this 5-10 list of candidates earlier in the week and should be down to the last 2-3 at least. It is not lawell's decision to make anyway even as much as he likes to think it is. Dermot although seeming like he only ever comes out the wood work to pick us a new manager, has been solid in picking them generally.

Dont know what to think of roy keane walking out on ireland, wanting revenge and never letting things go.

Former Ireland captain Keane’s 2002 autobiography states: “I’d waited long enough. I f***ing hit him hard. The ball was there (I think). Take that you c***. And don’t ever stand over me sneering about fake injuries.

I'm inclined to believe PL. I don't think Keane will get the job.

Lawwell wouldn't come out with a statement for the sake of it.

Still don't think we have picked one.

Its obvious though that Keane is one of the front runners, but I think this is far from concluded.

Dear Roy; thanks but no thanks.

Lets be honest, with our resources and no "Rangers", Keane would have to be a an absolute walloper not to be successful domestically.

I do understand that Lennon had no previous domestic or European experience prior to his successes, but Lennon has what managers like Keane lack, an insurmountable determination to prove himself, to better himself and test himself.

Keane does NOT possess this. All through his playing and managerial career he has been almost arrogant about his own abilities; when things go wrong he has always pointed fingers at others, opposition players, team mates, his own manager... then as a manager it was his players fault, the chairman, the CEO, the lack of... whatever. His ego does not allow for one iota of humility.

We need a manager who can show himself to be both responsible and accountable; to the board, the team and most importantly the fans. Roy keane is accountable to only Roy Keane, and he hasn't shown any sign of changing.

... and as previously displayed, when the going gets tough, Keane gets going.

I disagree. I think Keane is very much like Lennon in that regard, in fact that's the exact reason I'd be happy enough with his appointment.
