I kind of hope Di Canio get's the job, as I don't think the green brigade would even protest, they would just collectively implode.

He also takes in a lot of European football as a pundit and they talk a lot about tactics the way certain teams play etc so he will obviously have taken in a few tips about teams

This whole no European experience is one load of pish neither did Lennon but we still had 3 European runs!

Going by Newspaper headlines Keane pretty much has the job, read the article and there's no substance to their headlines.Meh we'll see,if he does get the job Ill support him 100% but there is a few other candidates Id rather before him.

I'm not disagreeing with you yes the ones listed where a bit more exciting but who says any of these where even thought by lawell and Desmond ? They where purely names listed by the bookies and papers!

As I said coyle and McNamara would clearly take the job in an instant! So it's probably fine to say neither have been approached. It seems Larsson was the first and he says no and I don't think moyes and mackay where behind Larsson! So keane has obviously been second choice all along! As I said the names listed well where just a "list"

No I'm not comparing us to Ipswich. I'm pointing out that in his previous job he didn't bring the worldwide interest that you said his name would bring.

I'd like to see Petrescu over Keane tbh.

Fair point mate. I mean I guess I'm so frustrated at the way the club is heading and it's still speculation manager wise.

Keane eh. Terrifying. One things for sure it will keep everyone on there toes and if he guides us through to the groups the atmosphere's gonna be electric.

Like Sutton said in the paper, their's an aura about him he won't accept anything but 100% effort and commitment.

Keane is far from my first choice, but he is a true Celtic supporter, also he will take no nonsense, and he will put some of the lost passion back into the club.
Actually i thing gates will rise initially and if he does well will stay higher, and yes he will relish the challenge of the Champions League, after all its the biggest Football outing on the planet.
If he gets the job,i am behind him 100%,come on the Bhoys!!!!!!!!!!!!

People say that like Neil Lennon wasn't the same, I can remember Neil nearly square going with Aiden McGeady because he didn't track a man for Dunfermline to score a goal in the 92nd minute when we were 4 or so up (I think).... that's a man who accepted nothing but 100%.

What do you base this on? Certainly not a regular at Celtic Park.

Of course he'll have some say in who we sign. It's not as if he'd just show up to training on a Wednesday and see a new guy sitting in the dressing room.

I reckon it'll work along the lines of what I said before, which is he'll identify the position that needs filled, both Lawwell & Park will identify possibly targets, and Keane will choose from them.

I thought it'd be like that and I hope it continues to be like that tbh.

I hope Keane, or whoever comes in, tells the board that they'll need money to put their stamp on the team.
