Surely these are smoke screens that bookies that DD owns have been the first to have both Keane and Coyle at few short odds like 4/7 or whatever so i think (hope) they are smoke screens sort of reminds of the David James and jummy Bullard signings when we actually didnt want them. We have to do it privately and through off the premier league clubs like Southampton, West brom and the likes who are also looking for managers.

Yakin off to CSKA can mark that one off the list.

Lennon had to build and restructure the full team after Mowbray, so thats a unfair assessment.

The team we have now is more than capable of winning the qualifiers and gaining entry to the CL.

Irish Examiner sports editor and deputy editor.-https://twitter.com/tonyleen I suspect "informal talks" line between Celtic and Roy Keane amounts to what they term a soft announcement. Next development on Tuesday.

I don't think Keane would command enough respect from the players tbh.

I agree to an extent but it takes more than a few months for a manager to implement his own ideas on the team, and getting them to play the way they want. We are definitely more than capable once we hold onto our best players but I don't think it'd be a guarantee under any manager, we only got in by the skin of our teeth last season under Lennon.

Raging that it looks like it will be Keane. * ridiculous appointment, even worse than Coyle which is saying something.

He brings nothing to the table.

    Awful.

I think he should stay in his position with Eire when in charge of us

He could be funny if nothing else. Don't know how long it'll last mind and probably take even less time to fall out with players and fans, but it'll be different.

Dead right Oisin if the Scottish people want to have one of their own as manager why don't they put their hands in their pockets and buy the club .

if Oscar Garcia , Laudrup and many more good candidates were in for the job I really wonder why they have opted for Keane

Maybe this is all the media taking MON's comments out of context he says he might lose his number 2 well might doesn't mean hes losing does it ? could mean if he gets it which he probably wont lol ach I dunno I give up LOL

Well, this sucks. Quite a few available managers out there that would be far more exciting.

From my view, all he has going for him is his name. That could attract a better player but put off players as well.
