    If Keane gets the job we might be able to get Daryl Murphy back. How awesome would that be? :fear:

    So I see it's finally been announced. Here're my thoughts.

    (+) Hates the huns;
    (+) Won't add any significant cost to the budget as he's a current staff member;
    (+) Could be a laugh in interviews. :50:

    (-) Controversial, left-field choice;
    (-) A yes man in the strictest sense to Peter Lawwell and Dermott Desmond;
    (-) Zero managerial experience on the pitch. :31:

    Welcome aboard, Petey-boy.

    He was a good keeper and highly thought of, at the time..

    This was a newly promoted bottom half epl side as well, no wonder they sack * every 2 seconds..

    I'd love it if we had someone fly under the radar to bring a buzz to the place..

    * it, 100% of us won't be pleased no matter who is brought it. There have been moaners for: Coyle; Moyes; Laudrup; Mackay and Garcia. So whoever it is, not all of us are going to be happy.

    We should just buck up now and be content I suppose.........as long as it isn't Coyle. :icon_mrgreen:

    Aye thats the big positive about it to be honest.

    He had money to spend and * it up, and then had a small budget and * it up, that's my point.

    Yes he will win us the league, but that's not hard to do in a one horse race but everything else he will take us backwards and * the team up.

    Keane just seems to antagonise everyone. Would be a terrible appointment.

    His signings there were even worse. I'm not going to post them because you wouldn't even recognise most of them.

    Most notably he RE-SIGNED David Healy. And purchased absolute duds like Jason Scotland and Colin Healy.

    His biggest success was Darren O'Dea....
