Correct me if I'm wrong, but MON never took training sessions?

Don't rate Moyes that highly and had my heart set on Clarke but * me would I bite your hand off for Moyes now. Please not Owen Coyle or Malky Mackay. :54::54:

Maybe keane wants big bucks or big bucks to spend and the boards calling his bluff that we are speaking to all?

    I hope not though..

Honestly there's no way anyone could claim keane is a better manager than coyle. I don't want coyle but he's far more competent than keane and is less likely to to cause a royal rumble every training session.

Keane's potential is greater than Coyle's, although their recent records are comparable. If Keane can sort out his man management, he'll be a much better manager than Coyle. Coyle is what he is, he's safe, he's not going to screw up; he's not going to achieve anything great either. He's just a bit "meh". I'd much rather take the risk with Keane. He could be another Mowbray, or he could be another MON. We need to show ambition and take the risk.

Would rather have a contraceptive coil shoved up my *'s eye than have Owen Coyle as manager.

Keane is a big name however I have major doubts over whether he is the right man to take us forward. His success in previous jobs doesnt fill me with confidence, fantastic player but not sure if the managerial side of the game is for him. Certainly would bring fight to the side and plenty of motivation, don't think that is in doubt. However being a big character himself could also cause problems in the squad, apparently had trouble with that at Ipswich.

I think people are taking this club statement as 'we aren't signing him'. As yet, Keane is the only confirmed candidate. That is more than enough to make him the heavy favourite.

I'd prefer Keane to DiCanio, Moyes or Coyle. But not by much. If nothing else he'll add some spice to the coming season. I do feel he'll wreck all the hard work Lennon has done to assemble this team. We are just a few signings away from being an established Champions league team. I am absolutely terrified he'll do the same thing Mowbray did - try to fix what isn't broken and get rid of our most consistent performers.
