What about the director of football? Wonder if this will happen.

You know how this works lads. Just like transfer deadline day. We spoke to a lot of candidates and at the end of the day selected our 4th choice. I'd have a wee sneaky bet on Coyle :54:

I don't see that as being a problem. We have far less prima-donna types than there are in the average English team. I think most of our boys would be hanging on his every word.

    Still a massive gamble though...

It could be the case yeah. Do you believe that though? I don't.
Nobody on here knows * all about the situation.. it's all speculation. All we know for sure is that Roy Keane has held talks with Dermot Desmond and has not yet been offered the job.

I know Im crabbit (crabby?) aswell, but we mustn't lose hope.

My hopes took an upswing today - I think we might be pleasantly surprised.....

    I * hope so. :smiley-laughing002:

To add to above, this is the first time in years where we have had quite a strong list of candidates and are in a good position and quite attractive, despite no competition..

I do, well i hope so..

It's vital we get this right and all available/realistic options, should be explored..

You may not think so but the managers job here is still a big enough pull, from our name alone..

Have we maybe approached him as an assistant to someone?

You could see Desmond bullying the rest into going for Keane or at least being heavily biased in his voting.

One poitive is that if anyone was going to convince Desmond to invest some cash in transfers then it's Keane.

Lacks any imagination if Keane gets the job.

He won't last 2 seasons here.

Couldn't see him jacking the Ireland and Itv roles to become a full-time assistant. He'd only leave them for an outright managerial role.

The statement from Celtic sounds a bit like a "Calm the * down lads! Keane's not the only chap we're talking to."

    Hopefully anyway :smiley-laughing002:
