Well by the looks of it he has had talks with us which means we want him.

He might reject us, but it's the only one we have heard about so far, so we can't assume we have talked to anyone else as yet

i think he should stay in both positions! he should stay martins number 2 and manager at celtic! that way he gets time under oneill to better himself ask advice whatever he has to do to take us foward

stuart mccall does it with scotland and im sure many others do aswell just think it would be for the better he gets more experience working with martin

You comparing our club to the Tractor boys! Fair play mate! Not quiet the same prestige or marriage! Roy managing a team in the Champs league? Here's hoping!

Of the candidates touted, I think Keane is the best option and I'm pretty happy with the approach.

I don't get the clamour over Mackay, Cardiff had plenty of financial backing and should have been promoted long before he arrived.

    * shocking if Keane gets the job, been a failure as a manager and yet our board thinks he will take us forward.

This would set us back years if he gets the job and * us in the long term. Massive disappointment in my eyes. If he is appointed then season ticket sales will be down.

Think it is unfair for people to accuse Keane of achieving nothing as a Manager. He took over when Sunderland were bottom half of Championship and got them promoted as Champions then kept them in EPL for a Season. Granted his time at Ipswich wasn't great. My question for those who want McKay, has he achieved anymore than Keane as Manager?

So SSN are saying DD has asked MON if he can talk to Roy Keane, looks like Keane is the man DD wants to run his football team.

Wouldn't have been my first choice, but I'll support him 100% if he gets the job.

So if we got knocked out a cup, do you think any of the players would ask him for a week off to go to Dubai?

I think it was rock bottom never mind bottom half, he was touted for big things then.

Exactly he took over a team that were rock bottom and made them Champions in a difficult league. McKay took over a team which just missed out on promotion and made them Champions. I am not trying to diminish McKay's achievements just highlight Keane's.

He wont take any * and will run things the proper way. But its a pretty uninspiring appointment if its true imo. Still think its a smokescreen though.

As suspected, Martin O'Neill confirms Dermott Desmond has been in touch regarding Roy Keane and @celticfc job. Wheels are in motion I'm told.
