Looks like Garcia is in the running for the Southampton job.

He won the Championship with Sunderland, getting them promoted and winning Championship manager of the year. He then kept them up the following season. Just as much success really as the other supposed front runners, much of a muchness on that front for them all.

    Didn't actually know that. Suppose that's a commendable achievement, but he's still a *.

He was * in the premiership with them though and ridiculously bad at Ipswich. He even took Daryl Murphy on loan, anyone with minimal football knowledge knows that's a bad move :icon_mrgreen:

It could have been worse, he could have bought him outright, and spent over £1m in the process. It takes a right idiot to do such a thing :fear:

Keane couldn't cope with the pressure. It's a complete non-starter.

Keane or Coyle would be extremely disappointing but we know Desmond likes them which is worrying. It is unfortunately the case that team management is about the only area in which DD involves himself personally.

Moyes would still be my preferred option but Laudrup would be great as he plays good football, uses youth effectively, can spot a player and will be looking to get back into management. I wouldn't be too angry if Jackie got it for similar reasons but a lack of experience and inconsistency might pose a problem there. Garcia is an interesting option as he did well at Brighton and Mackay is a safe pair of hands but doesn't play inspiring football these days.

I'd be happy with Keane, as opposed to Coyle or MacKay. Would like a manager with a better track record, but we are not in the market for that.

The other alternative would be to find a relative unknown foreign manager with talent who wants to make a name for himself, like what Southampton did with Pochettino. The problem with someone like that, if he did well in the CL we'd only get to keep him for a season and he'd be off to the EPL and we'd be looking for a manager again next summer.

Oh no please not Keane he's an fukin *

No point going for one of these big names they will not get the multi millions they want to buy a team.

Go for someone with experience of continental possession based play doesn't need to be one of these so called big names that will want tons of cash for players

Our team is going great with signing good young players mouldingbthem into a team and profiting from their success
