The only reason Owen Coyle has odds on favourite tag with all the bookies is , in my opinion Lawwell and Celtic are doing a very good job at keeping their talks with prospective managers secret ,the bookies are completely in the dark and they don't like taking bets without the odds loaded in their favour . So by making Coyle an unbackable favourite they have discouraged bets on other candidates .
Of course , the reason Celtic is maintaining secrecy could be that they haven't got anyone in mind and haven't got a clue .

On the way up. There's not much further down than 18th in the 3rd tier. There are plenty managers we could get who are miles better. If it's 3rd division we may as well go for Kenny jacket. We also need to stop this he's played for or supported the hoops.

You do realise Coventry started the season with -10 points and like 5 professional players on there books right? Not to mention they didn't know where there next home game was going to be played at. They were in just as big a mess as Hearts and Pressley gave em a shot and has had a terrific season with them.

much is true. If it were not for the -10 pts they were looking closely at the play-offs.

Still not the right choice imo.

Really like the thought of Laudrup, which alone means it won't happen

as has been said before on this thread....we are gonne win the league next year, thts a certain, so what we need to be looking fo is impovement on the european front and therefore a manager that knows the european game and can get us playing at our best with the right tactics should be the deciding factor when hiring the new man, i dont give a * if he is a "celtic man" or not as long as he can deliver in europe.

What? Would you rather Owen Coyle? Steve Evans has done wonderful at Rotherham. Now in the Championship after being in League 2 when he took over in 2012. Big tim as well

Laudrup and Wieghorst would be some appointment. Great combination, a good young manager who plays attractive football, been there and done it all in terms of european football as a player as well. Wieghorst an absolute hero and a good coach by the sounds of it, also you could say a 'Celtic man' as so many people demand.:87:

Laudrup is also the kind of guy who could attract players, not talking £10m signings but players in that £3-4m bracket who we may struggle to get otherwise. We need all the help we can get to entice players up here.

Laudrup for 3 seasons or so and then bring Henrik in, Jordan Larsson his first signing. Ideal.

Would love it to happen but I don't want to get my hopes up...may be too late.
