I think this would be a terrible career move for Coyle. It's clear that the fans don't want him (with good reason), so any * ups at all and he'll be crucified. If we fail to make an impact in Europe under Coyle he will be getting all of the blame, whether or not it's his fault. Could be professional suicide.

Nah, I think everyone and their granny is being linked to the job.

Lawwell has a lot of sway in the media, wouldn't surprise me if he made it look as if they 'attempted' to get someone better but failed......

Laudrup is what we need for Europe.

The thing with Coyle is, at the minute, is he really somebody we should be going after. A guy who has failed pretty miserably at his last two jobs. Firstly, he took Bolton down, then had a shocking start to life in the Championship before being given his P45, with them sitting in 18th place, and they have never really recovered since. Then he lasted less than 6 months at Wigan, with them sitting in 14th position, before Uwe Rosler come in, and got them into the play-offs. Are we now after managers who are Championship failures in recent times? Is that where we are now at?

I think I would rather have Morten Weighorst as manager.

Laudrup could be a good choice if they can get him. I would be happy if he was appointed. Has good experience, plays attacking football and gives youth players a chance. He can also spot a good player at cheap prices, so him and John Park bringing in players would be good for the future of the club.

Right what if fans were offered a choice...Owen Coyle or the Inanimate Carbon Rod? Who would you pick?

think we should push the boat out a bit give him decent wages.hes a good manager with experience, plays good football, likes youth, whats not to like? and a big name was one of europes best players on his day an even bigger name than Larsson, this appointment would definently get bums on seats.
