Whoever took over from Ferguson was gonna fail, think its harsh to say Moyes couldn't handle it. Fergie knew what he was doing leaving when he did, the squad was * and on top of that injuries didn't help Moyes.

McNamara would be far from the worst choice. I just feel that right now, it would be better for him personally and the Scottish game if he stayed at Utd for a while longer.

You're right, he resigned. My mistake. Well I'm definitely happy with him being in the running then.

Really starting to be convinced that McNamara or Garcia is the right way to go.

Tifosi mate, going through the thread it seems you appear to be taking delight in extolling the virtues of Coyle when the vast majority of your fellow fans are opposed to him. I don't know if you get a kick out of going against the grain but it seems your support of him is more motivated by your tendency to be 'different' rather than that you actually believe your on tripe (I hope). With a title already wrapped up then of course you are correct that he will be a 'success' but long term......he's the wrong appointment!

I'm leanin towards Di Canio cos it'd be funny as *. I don't give a * if we lose the league and he makes the squad goosestep onto the pitch, the league's goni be borin as * next season and we need a mental fascist around to liven things up.

I dont get the big support of jackie , he has done ok at utd and decent at thistle , he was beaten in the scottish by a far better manager who gets more from less in my opinion , its way to soon for him and the only reason I wasnt totally against lennon was because he is passionate and isnt afraid to call it as it is , he doesnt take * , jackie , henrick , big morten are all to nice , there has to be a little fear to have respect , like fergie he won't be * about this is the type we need , a keane type but one that has done something in management .

If it is to be coyle he could redeem himself
in the eyes of many, by appointing Henrik Larsson as his
    assistant.

just heard that from a mate there as well :31: its now apparent the board have shown there true colours and the future of our club is looking more bleak by the day. Its frustrating as * knowing the majoirty dont rate or want colye yet the board are thinking of the £££.

Money comes with sucess on the pitch they should realise that and listen to the fans for once, unlikley as it will be. :54:

Disgraceful appointment if it is Coyle. A guy that was sacked from a Championship team last year after underachieving with Wigan, and Bolton before. What a complete lack of ambition. Shocking.
