    No thanks.

In a perfect world we'd never have that again.

Personally i don't think Celtic should be taking anyone that has FAILED elsewhere. We should be going for the elite! Moyes and Coyle have both failed recently. Why should we now trust them with Celtic?

McNamara has excelled at 2 different teams with no money. Young up and coming manager that likes attacking football and promotes youth. He is the perfect choice

In what way has Jackie excelled at Dundee United? They finished 4th, only 5 points above 6th. Aye, he got them to a Scottish Cup final but they failed big time in that.

He's had a very average season.

    Stick by my suggestions:

    • Michael Skibbe: Grasshoppers F.C. manager
    • Murat Yakin: Former Basel F.C. manager.
    • Besnik Hasi: Anderlecht F.C manager
    • Michel Preud'homme: Club Brugge Manager
    • Juande Ramos: Just left FC Dnipro Dnipropetrovsk
    • Rémi Garde: Former Lyon manager, who has stated he would like a challenege. Also won the 'Trophee des Champions' and 'coupe de France' in his 3 years at Lyon. Isn't really 'experienced' though.

I don't buy into that to be honest. Newcastle had decent players back then and a massive wage bill. Tottenham were also a great team back then.

You are totally disregarding everything he has done. Was it just luck then? He was also never able to spend massively, bar the season after he get them a 4th place finish.

Fergies squad was also on the decline, it just so happened though that they had one of the greatest managers of all time as their own. He got more out of them. He left at the right time though. His only downfall was not having the balls to take a risk on foreign players outwith Britain.
    His finishes at Everton:

Agreed but it's an absolute cert under a manager who likes his solid 4-4-2 and basic tactics.

Another manager I'd have before Coyle.

Hartley has done well so far.

nice philosophy. shame you have to fail to learn and no one has never not failed.

McNamara FAILED to win the Scottish Cup.

I would still really like Roy Keane to get the job. He didn't have a great start to his managerial career, but I still think he's got what it takes to be a really good manager. In my opinion he's a winner, and that's what a club like Celtic need. Very few of the other potential candidates on the list have that mentality, and just don't excite in my opinion.

So really, that whole article there was a total waste of time. It was Maloney talking about not working a lot with Coyle or something?

    Groundbreaking stuff.

At utd he lost his 2 best players Russell and Daly and given no money to replace. He played youth players that most other managers wouldn't and played by far the most exciting football in the league this year. SOmthing we all want to see at Celtic. He is fresh and not set in his ways the way these experienced managers are. Less of a risk appointing him than Lennon was. 4th and runners up in the scottish cup is not a bad finish. Though, yes, they could have done marginally better. For his first season i think it is exceptional.
Dont get me wrong, i'm not suggesting Moyes is an awful manager. He did a vey good job at Everton but a better manager can and has done better. Man U may have been on the decline but not '1st to 7th' decline.

    He's a good/decent manage. I expect better for Celtic

You know it! If you had to choose, which one would you go for?

Er, as assistant manager, obviously. :fear:
