Any news not regarding Coyle is good news.

Nah, I still believe we can do better and can offer it to better managers. Even the Man United fans think we should offer the job to Moyes (and not saying it in a deriding tone).

I don't for a minute believe our stock has sunken so low that Coyle is as good as it gets.

Not necessarily. If the wage and (more importantly) such things as the budget, autonomy in signing players, etc isn't what they want, I can well believe they'd turn us down. For me, Clarke is the most exciting candidate; but if the wage is much lower than he's used to, the budget much lower than he's used to and he's told that Lawwell and Park will take care of most of the signings (rumour has it that not all of Lenny's signings were his), then he's pretty likely to say no. I just want to know that we at least offered these guys the job.

If Owen Coyle gets the job I don't think I'll be paying much attention to what's going on at Celtic next season. The guy does nothing for me. Add to that the fact that nearly all the teams I got excited about playing against domestically are either dead or relegated then there's really not much to be interested in as far as next year's league campaign goes.

I really struggled to maintain interest this season but the thought of sitting watching an Owen Coyle led Celtic team playing against the mighty Hamilton Accies or Ross County in front of a half empty stadium while wearing the worst home strip in the club's history just doesn't do anything for me.

Not a Moyes fan but * me after all this talk about Coyle I'll be ecstatic if it's him.

Reading some of the drivel you've posted on this thread, you'd think you were getting your stories from the digger. :bbpd:

Yet it's still a more credible source than anything suggesting Coyle is close to becoming the manager.

The Coyle talk is the result of being the bookies favourite. Ridiculous.

As I say, I doubt we're offering the wage, the budget or the autonomy that top managers expect. Coyle might well be as good as it gets.

If that wee * gets anywhere near paradise, then it's time for Lawwell to go. He's never got a good word to say about us. One of those pundits that whenever sevco mentioned he's got to tie us in.

Lennon said he is going to be involved in selecting the next manager. I really can't see him genuinely believing Coyle would be a better option than even Jackie Mcnamara.

By the way, betting has been suspended every night in most bookies since Lennon left. It's nothing new.

Tbh, there's worse than Coyle as options......Keane, Di Canio (he'd destroy the dressing room, players, doors the lot), Henke,s not an option yet. .....

A bit underwhelmed if its Coyle, but it's a bit ott for you guys ready to go bungee jumping wi nae ropes.

Somehow, I still fear another Mowbray though...
