Would there really be such a backlash if Coyle-Nevin was given the job?

Got a feeling we'll still be speculating like this in 2 weeks time.....hoping we have this settled by the end of this week but I doubt it.

 

If that is the case it would be sheer neglegence from the board. They need to get someone in as soon as possible with the CL qualifiers starting in mid July. The new manager will need time to bed in and sort the squad out. If they drag their heels it could cost us dearly.

 

Tommy Wright would also bring Stevie May, one of the best young prospects in Scotland.

If and its a big if, for Henrik to become Celtic boss at least he would have 1 or 2 seasons to bed in get it right and win a couple of titles before sevco come up (if and thats a big if for sevco).

 

My thoughts exactly mate but its our board we're talking about here, they drag their heals when signing players, hopefully they dont do the same naming our next manager.

Imagine Nevin working for Celtic? He would want to call games off if the fans sang "the boys of the old brigade" lol. No chance he could work for us after all the * he has said.

The target might be working at the moment
so there might be legal & moral reasons why it can't be rushed.

He's the obvious choice, right man for the job.

 

I know, people on here come out with some belters. Larsson is to be an assistant to anyone who get the job, then Keane and now McNamara. People need to get real lol. Whoever gets the job will have there own guy who they trust.

The board released the rumour so that when we eventually get Coyle we will pish our frillies with relief.

 

Doubt they'd take our opinion into consideration tbh. why should they? they have the best interest of Celtic FC PLC and won't take the average Joe's opinion. Think they'd be stupid to.

I'd be disappointed if they appoint Coyle mind.

What shouldn't happen would be personal opinion swinging things. Keane is only being mentioned because Desmond likes him. I think he's an awful manager and i doubt anyone would get any praise. ever.

Don't know why everyone is getting so frantic about Nevin. He'll never be a Celtic manager even if he was literally the only man left on Earth. We'd still do better without him.

Jackie Mac would never play second fiddle now he has Utd.
